    Issues With Chocolate?

My doctor told me that if I'm not tolerating a food to give it a couple of months before trying it again.
  4. I have to thank you for sharing and being so honest. Everything you shared are things that I have worried about facing in the near future. One of the things that I added as a tool was to join Overeaters Anonymous. It has helped me to recognize my triggers and make better decisions when presented with bad choices/temptations. Recently, I had a plateau that was more about my eating than my body adjusting. Going back to OA strategies helped me get back on track and I dropped five pounds this week. I know it's not for everyone, but it's been great for me. Good luck to you.

    Drinking Red Wine

I waited 8 weeks to have some wine. I have a couple of glasses once or twice a week. In fact, I had some on Saturday night and was still down a pound a half on Monday morning.
  6. Looking good! Congratulations!

    Grrrr Stupid Jeans

I'm still able to wear some pants that I wore before surgery and while they are a bit loose now, I have to admit that they were pretty tight before...as in I was probably wearing pants that were 1 to 2 sizes too small. So looking at the whole picture, I'm actually down about three sizes. And that's definitely a celebration! Any correlation to your jeans? Congratulations on 70 lbs lost!
  12. Here I am before and after 60 pounds. Can't believe how much better I'm feeling physically and emotionally. I guess my only regret is that I didn't do it sooner...but I'm on the journey now and loving it! Thank you to all of my fellow sleevers for your support!
  13. Thank you! The fruit bars are the Dreyer's fruit popsicles. Sorry, left that part out.
  14. Thanks! I try to get to the gym a couple of times per week for cardio and some weight training and also walk 2 miles in my neighborhood. That does't always happen since it's been over 100 degrees here for the last few weeks. I do have to walk quite a bit at work so I think that helps a lot.
  15. I went back to my food dairy and saw these items: Premier chocolate shakes, low-fat cottage cheese, wonton lasagna cups, nonfat yogurt, laughing cow light wedges. no sugar added fruit bars. The wonton cups recipe cups came from emilybites.com: http://www.emilybites.com/2011/07/lasagna-cupcakes.html For the soft food stage, I left the meat out and was careful to chew the crunchy bits well before swallowing.

    1St Day Of Liquid Diet

Good luck to you...you'll be there in no time!
  17. Premier Chocolate Shakes are pretty tasty, especially when well chilled. I pick mine up at Costco, which seems to have the best price.

So Upset.......please Need Advice And Input!

I know someone who drank a coke before her fasting lab work so it would look like she was a diabetic. That's what ultimately led to her doctor approving her surgery. She was 5'4" and over 300 lbs and furious that she had to do that to get approval, but it worked for her. Sorry you are having to deal with insurance. Perhaps your doctor could provide another letter explaining the rationale for the need for surgery. Good luck to you.

    Yoplait Greek Yogurt?

I've heard that they chemically enhance their yogurt so that it tastes like Greek yogurt instead of actually going through the old world process of making Greek yogurt. You may want to stick to FAGE or Chobani.

    Lane Bryant Jeans

That's one of the best feelings! Next, you will notice yourself in a mirror at a store or at the gym and be floored by your new proportions! That's an amazing feeling too! Congratulations!
  23. July 12th here: I'm down about 40 pounds and I'm not getting to the gym as much as I'd like (once or twice per week), but I do walk quite a bit at work. I've been eating 600-800 calories a day. I'm very happy with the weight loss, but I also thought I'd be down a lot more after the first two months. Not complaining, but I was expecting a HUGE drop in the neighborhood of 60 pounds after the first two months and then thought I'd taper down after that. Overall, I'm very pleased with my sleeve and am learning to be patient and enjoy the pace.
