I'm waiting for the fitbit flex that's coming out in April.

Vicodin does that to me (which is why I insisted on coming home with anything but Vicodin)...it's incites uneasy sleep filled with looping fever-like dreams. I like to calling it "riding on the hamster wheel of doom." It does get better.

I know it's a first world problem to complain about having to buy clothes to have them fit for about two months (with added alterations costs), but it has been a hassle and huge strain on my wallet since I usually wear suits to work. I've pretty much exhausted the range of sizes in my closet and am in need of a new set of clothes all together. This has forced me to get out and start shopping. Well...around the holidays I discovered that clothes at the big and tall store no longer fit me, but was discouraged that it was hard to fit into the next size down at Target or Kohl's (I refuse to buy at Nordstrom until I'm at goal). Now things are starting to fit! I picked up a couple of pairs of pants off the clearance rack at Target the other day for 7 bucks each. What's even better is that I've been finding designer dress shirts in excellent condition at the Goodwill...I even found a tux for 20 bucks! I've also rediscovered eBay--- just scored a pair of Levi's for $1.04!!! So I guess I'm sharing this as both a non-scale-victory and to let folks know to search out the deals; and please, if you have ideas about ways that your are saving money on clothes, share with all of us!

My NUT turned me on to Turkey Jerky...it's loaded with protein like the beef jerky but with less fat. I gave a try and I'm hooked. Target and Walmart seem to have the best prices on it. Congrats on your success!

Have your vitamin A levels checked just in case. Decreased levels can cause rashes and dry patches. I noticed that my legs and back were very itchy (other issues arise if not addressed). It turned out that my Vitamin A was depleted and my doctor had me had additional supplements (A and Beta Carotene) to bring my levels back up.

You're smart to go back to liquids...that's what my NUT told me to do if something bothered my stomach. Try again in a few days. Your stomach is still healing: think about what a 10 inch incision and staple line would feel like on your calf...it would be uncomfortable to walk for couple of weeks and you wouldn't consider going jogging. It will get better soon. Best of luck to you and congratulations on your new sleeve!

This is my favorite NSV too! I still have to remind myself to NOT say, "table, not booth," when being seated at a restaurant. Congratulations!

I met with my NUT this week and she suggested putting lemon Crystal Light in non fat Greek vanilla yogurt. Just tried it...I mixed a little less than half the packet into the yogurt. I have to say that it tasted like a tangy lemon pudding! It was delicious and I got more protein in! I think I'm going to try orange Crystal Light next to see if it tastes like a Creamsicle.

Just spent an awesome week in Hawaii and although it was filled with many special times, I have to say that not having to ask the flight attendant for a seatbelt extension was a huge HIGHLIGHT! It was also great to be on a plane and not worry about spilling over onto my neighbor's space. :) :) :) :)

Thanks to everyone for their kind words... the weight loss came to a halt (self-imposed) over the holidays and this flight experience and your encouragement has motivated me to rev things up again...already down 2 pounds since Friday!
