  1. When I was released, I was told to sip tiny sips throughout the day. I tried not to take in so much at one time. Also, were you discharged with any ppi's for acid? I drank small amounts- no more than 1 oz. every 15 minutes to focus on keeping smaller amounts down rather than for ing myself to meet a Fluid amount each day. Definitely call your doctor as well. You could become dehydrated if this continues. Good luck!

  6. Thanks for your words of encouragement. I am getting a little better each day, and I hope to go home today. My doctor is pretty much just saying walk walk walk!
  7. I has my surgery Thursday, and still Feel really nauseous, despite multiple nausea meds.
  8. I am so nauseated and there seems to be no end in sight.. I have barely been able to take anything in. Oral meds make me feel sick. I still in the hospital. What has worked for others?
  9. Great idea using the Via iced coffee with protein! Thanks!
  10. I do drink lattes, but not the sugary kind, and always with skim milk. I guess I will have to see how my taste changes. I really appreciate the comments. I think I am going through the last minute inventory of everything I might miss after the surgery, and fearing that I will regret it later. Thanks so much for the feedback.
  11. I totally relate to your comment about the ritual of coffee drinking! That is so me- it's comforting and something I look forward to every day. Thanks for your response. I'm glad to know that I can drink coffee eventually. It's funny how the small things can be so important!
  12. I love coffee. LOVE coffee. I don't drink it all day, but I do have 1-2 cups per day. Has anyone been able to drink coffee after VSG? My surgery date is 7/26. I know I will have to give it up for awhile, I am just curious about what other people have experienced.
  13. Good luck! I hope all well. My surgery is Thursday in Dallas.
  14. My surgery is on Thursday as well. I have not been required to be on an extensive pre-op diet. I am mostly anxious about possible complications and life after surgery. Like you, I am excited and scared also. I hope everything goes well for you!
