  1. I just love this topic. This is the kind of thing I can sit and enjoy thinking about as I move along in my journey. Even though I am not at that point, it motivates me to think about the days to come. My dream style starts as simple as being able to wear a black ribbed turtleneck with jeans. I have actually started a folder for outfit goals that I fill with photos as inspiration for the days ahead.

Overall I would say that my style will be natural. Having said that, it is just as clear to me what I don't want to be my style any more..... no more clothes with flowers. I have sworn them off... and no more embroidery of "stuff" on my shirts or pants either... nada..

  2. My surgeon mentioned it and tested me for it when I started this process over 6 months ago. I was negative at that time. He said he would test again before the surgery and if I was positive it would be treated with antibiotics as you mention. He acted as if it would be no big deal either way, but wanted to be prepared.

I am sure everything will be fine. Good luck!

  3. @@hilaryglynxo - I loved the ladies that helped me with my EKG. I had to work so hard to keep my heart rate up I thought I would come off of the treadmill. One of them put pressure on my butt so I could stay on and not fall off the end. I bet it would have been funny to watch! lol

The only thing I didn't enjoy was the IV they had to put in to add the dye for the test. (The nurse told me to drink lot of Water next time or drink a Gatorade / Poweraid the day or night before as really helps to plump up the veins.) So I had the IV and dye put in, then waited a few minutes, echo at normal heart rate, treadmill, echo after activity, and then ultrasound.

I am sure it will go well for you :)

    Good luck!

  4. @@Babbs I don't think we are in disagreement. I have no idea how much she will loose from week to week, but that has been my goal in my past efforts. I lost and gained them back.

The message I was trying to convey is that with this new tool she has the best chance ever to continue moving forward at her own pace.

As you say, if it could just be that easy.

Good luck to everyone on their journey.

  5. @@wannaBthinsoon - I am not on your side of the bench yet, but in my many, many, many diet attempts over the years, I would always shoot for 2-2.5 #/week for all the reasons you mentioned. The REALLY amazing thing is that you are going to keep on loosing that weight week after week until you reach your goal. You don't have to be in a race, and you don't have to loose that same 2# over and over again. They are gone!
