    Last cup of coffee this morning, and last meal tonight.. starting my liquid diet in the morning. It is getting real.

      Good luck! I was so scared I'd be in so much pain, but it's amazing how little I've had. I can't do anything sugar-free. It gives me a headache and causes my stomach to hurt. I can't even drink sugar-free lemonade. But, I've known this for several years. Once I talked my nurse into giving me regular Jell-O within 6 hours my pain was gone. I don't think my Dr believed me, but it's my body and I know it well.

    Feeling motivated now that I have my date! I am in some sort of nesting mode. Really trying to square things away prior to surgery. No complaints here! :)

      Yes feels good to be prepared and have the time to take care of yourself after surgery.

      It does. I just realized that I got so much enjoyment from looking back at what I accomplished yesterday instead of thinking about what I needed to do. Need more days like that :)

    I am approved! Checked the mail this weekend to find that BCBS had approved me for surgery, and now I am just waiting for the call from my surgeon to set the date! Wooo Hooo!

      m_kuiphof That is terrible. This wait seems much longer than the 6 months I was going thru all the per cert check list items. I guess because I actually had things that I could do. Good luck on your second appeal. Don't give up.

      The waiting game is the worst!! I wanted to call my insurance company every day and bug them, but I was patient. Then on the day I went to work, and forgot my cell phone - I got the message when I got home that I was approved.

       

      I hope you both get your approval call soon! :-)
