I'm going to Mexico so I'd hate to get all the way there and them be like "oh, sorry! Can't do the surgery now!" That would be awful. I've been to my PCP several times over this, and he says it will be a few months before the gastrologist can do a endoscopy on it. I've even went to the ER because of it last year. It's a very uncomfortable feeling in my upper abdomen, it's continous day and night, plus I can always hear some kind of gurgling noise in my stomach. Lol

What happened with alighterme? I'd like to hear the experience...

So, my family is really concerned with my after care in the US. What if I have some kind of life threatening complication, would they still treat me here even though I went to Mexico for my surgery? I keep telling them that I don't think they can deny me because of that?? Or can they??

I have put on an additional ten pounds since I even had the idea put in my head that I was going to Mexico lol I think it made me happy that I found a solution to help me with my problem! I've been eating everything I love in abundance because I know that once I get the surgery, I'm gonna work at it hardcore to get this weight off! So I'm "enjoying" my final days of being fat!!

I'm going in March 10-15th as well! but I'm going to Dr. Lopez, and he uses MI hospital. I'm not sure which one Dr. Kelly uses... I have a 3 year old little boy, who I am scared of leaving behind, but it breaks my heart knowing that I can't play with him like I should be able to... Because of my weight. I just keep telling myself it will all be alright, I'm gonna make it back home and become much healthier!

A few months ago it was the other way around, all I heard was negative things about Readyforachange, which made me go with alighterme. I've made up my mind to just not care about the coordinator drama, I'm going to a great doctor and I'm happy about that. I do want a good experience from start to finish though, and all I can do is hope that I receive that. I'm not going until March though, but I will be sure to post about my experience for others

I keep thinking that I'm gonna die on the table in Mexico... When I had my csection, my Doctor told me to be sure and tell any other Doctor if I'm having a surgery that I'm a heavy bleeder... So now I think that I'm gonna die by internal bleeding or something. I'm freaking out lol

I've talked with both Ronda and Janese... They are both really nice! and Dr. Lopez only books through alighterme I believe. I also want a non stop flight... I don't want to deal with layovers and all that stuff.

Really to me, that says a lot about him to strictly just use one company. That proves to me that he's not money hungry and trying to use every coordinator he can to get people on the books. I have never read a bad review on him.

My coordinator says that Dr. Lopez ONLY books thru alighterme. That other company probably has them on their website to attract people because he IS a good doctor and when you try to book your surgery they try to get you to go with one of their docs. Kinda ridiculous if you ask me...

Just read those reviews... No offense, but there are other reasonable surgeons in Mexico that have great reputations. From what I'm reading about this Dr. it doesn't sound very good at all. Just do your research and make the best decision for you

I never have heard of him to be honest... Look into Dr. Lopez as well. I will getting my surgery the week of the 10th with him. I went through alighterme and Janese is my coordinator.

Amy, I tried sending you a private message but I believe my app is messing up on my phone and it didn't go through. I was going to ask you, have you heard any negative things on Dr. Lopez by any chance? I have really only read some scary reviews on one particular surgeon.

Soooo, since I have decided on weight loss surgery in March, I've probably gained an additional 15 pounds because I'm eating more now... I guess it's because I know that I'm not going to be able to eat like this anymore, so I'm packing on more weight. It's really depressing me... Had anyone else done this?

I'm definitely having a food funeral every day now.... Lol if something happens and I don't get this surgery, I'm in trouble!!!

I believe it goes in through your belly button, so you can't even really see the scar at all! I'd love more info on this as well my coordinator told me that the equipment used in that surgery is very expensive, so the cost would go up more than likely for that type of procedure

What kind of plastics are you getting? And how much do they charge? I still haven't even had my surgery yet, but I'd like to start planning ahead

My family is the same way... I just stand my ground with them. They can try to talk me out of I until they are blue in the face but I'm still going through with it!! Lol
