  1. You sound like you are having some of the issues I had in my early days and I could be wrong, but I had the same reaction you are having to Protein Drinks that were not pure whey isolate. whey concentrate drinks give me stomach pains and gas big time, just google whey Protein and flatulence to see where this is a pretty common problem. I too thought I was running into lactose intolerance, but that was not it. I switched to pure whey isolate and my problems went away, you can also do the plant based Proteins, but they are pretty gross, so I don't advise that unless you like the taste of grass :). However, I see you said Isopure above, are you doing the dutch chocolate or clear version of isopure? If so, then this is not your problem as Isopure is one of the few protein drinks my body can tolerate, they filter their whey isolate and keep it pretty pure (hence the price). But I'm thinking since you are having the "other" protein drinks too, then it would be hard to see that these are the problem and not the isopure at all. Look at the ingredients on the other protein drinks you are drinking and see if they have any whey concentrate or anything else besides whey isolate, if so, I would suggest only doing the Isopure a couple of days, don't touch any other type of Protein Drink those days, and see if your reactions subside.

  2. Just track it and you should be fine. You may want to be wary of skinned fruits (think blueberry, apples) until you know your tolerance. I can handle skins on fruit, but my step mother cannot, we are all different :). Yay for summertime!

  3. I have a hard time eating it, it might just be too dry, but I usually have problems, then again, I'm doing the really low fat kind that has little fat to keep it moist :)

  4. Did it hurt to eat when you were in the red zone? I got a fill last Saturday and think I'm in the red, but I can eat and drink and keep food down, but my chest hurts when eating. Doc already got back to me and he said to take out .1 or .2 cc, but I love that my satiety is much better now than before. I'm not sure what they put in, I just ask that they always do small fills, but who knows what that is.

  5. The surgery can cause nausea, I'm assuming they did not give you a prescription, call them to get a prescription to get you through this. My doc automatically prescribed a pain and nausea medication for after surgery. As far as the hunger, sorry, but all you can really do is try to drink as much as you can and are allowed to.

  6. Woohoo, it's finally time! You'll need those SF popsicles because your throat will be a bit sore, but when you leave tomorrow, they should give you some SF hard candy for the trip back home. Are you having to go to Cincy to do it, or do they have a hospital they work with near you? Ricotta and pizza sauce is really good, tuna or chicken salad in the blender was pretty good. Refried Beans and chicken broth was good. That's all I can really remember for now. Good luck, you will do great and check in to report how you are doing!

  8. I was going to say Questbar, but this is brand new so you may not be aware, but they have a cookie dough version, unfortunately vitaminshoppe does not have them, but I just ordered a box of them thru GNC's website today. They also have Peanut Butter cups, but I couldn't buy just a package of them (versus an entire box), so I did not get those yet. I was just looking at Protein bars yesterday at GNC and Kroger and trying to find lower cal, low fat, and low carb (even using net carbs) is just about impossible.

  9. My NUT is like yours and she advises to not watch calories, although as she knows I use MFP for everything and the calories are in my face :), I wanted to know the average that we would hit and she said during the losing phase, people generally hit about 1000-1200 calories and maintenance can be 1200-1500, all depending on exercise and she mentioned to me just yesterday that the carbs have flexibility as you do more exercise, meaning, the more exercise you do, the more carbs you can have. The thought process behind not watching calories is because when you watch your Protein, carbs, and fat, it should naturally fall in place and your calories would remain at a good amount. She originally had me just watching carbs and protein, which has helped me lose 92lbs, so now to get the last part off, I need to really start watching my fat intake better, which would automatically lower the calorie intake.

  10. You could try quitting by vaping down to 0% nicotine juice. I used to smoke camel turkish royals and tried 24mg nicotine juice when I first started vaping, which I found to be too much, so I went to 18, then to 12, did 12 for about a year and then 5, and now 0% and just trying to get away from having to have something in my hand habit now. And I've done cold turkey and prescription, which never stuck, but vaping worked for me.
