    Carbs And Exercise

This week I'm starting Zumba three times a week and piloxing twice a week and the piloxing instructor told me I need to get carbs in. The only suggestion she gave me was sweet potatoes. What are some other good carbs that I can eat. Or is it really necessary to eat carbs? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Pain Under My Right Rib Cage

Might want to get it checked out or at least call ur surgeons after hours number and see what they say. My gallbladder had been blocked for so long the the inside of my gallbladder had absorbed all the pigment of the bile left in there and the bile was clear. Surgeon said that is extremely rare.

    Chest Pain

Well I went in. They did an ekg and chest xray. They said they were normal. Diagnosis: costal chondritis. Inflammation in the ribs. We will see what happens. I'm not a fan of the e.r. I went to as it is. I went for pain on my right side. Took blood and it was normal so sent me home. Went to a different hospital same day and had emergency surgery to take my gallbladder out.
  6. Today was my first day working out since surgery. I'm 7 weeks out. I did a Zumba class then a piloxing class this morning. It hurts whenever I take a deep breath, right in the middle of my chest. Should I be worried?

Pain Under My Right Rib Cage

You would have to go in and get it checked. I had pain but lower by my hip and thought it was appendix. Turned out that my gallbladder had been blocked for a very long time and I had it taken out.

    Chest Pain

I haven't had any issues since surgery. Could it really be gas still almost after 3 weeks? I called a nurse hotline and she said I should go in to get checked. I hate that I have to take my 5 yr old to watch them do everything to me.

    Chest Pain

Yeah its more to the right side. I don't know if blood clots would still be an issue. I had my gallbladder out almost 3 weeks ago.

Raw Fruits And Vegetables: When And What?

I'm 7 weeks out today and I can start steamed veggies and peeled fruits. I had a peeled apple and was amazing. I like the granny smith apples and I peeled it and it was soooo delicious.

    Gallbladder :-(

I had stones prior to being sleeved. Never had any attacks or any pain. Got sleeved, had my gallbladder out a month later.

    Gallbladder :-(

I had my gallbladder out a month after I was sleeved. Gallbladder surgery was a breeze. I went to the e.r. for pain. They admitted me for the night and I had surgery the next morning. I left the same day.
  15. I switch it up with lipton diet green tea, citrus or watermelon. I think switching it up makes it a little easier to get fluids in. Maybe you could try some of that?

    Worried Post....

Yes I called my surgeons office and told them I wasn't getting any pain relief and I went in and a PA at my surgeons office did the injection. It was numbing medicine and steroids to help with the inflammation. I was taking liquid percocet and getting absolutely no relief. After the injection I needed no pain meds.

    Worried Post....

Yep a couple week post op you should be good. At 6 days post op I got a trigger point injection around my biggest incision and the next morning a felt like a normal person. Maybe that might be an option?

    Tropical Smoothie

Ooo just looked on the tropical smoothie website and its 263 cals. That's still not incredibly bad. If I had a 6 oz portion that would be like 65 calories

    Tropical Smoothie

Does anybody get smoothies from Tropical Smoothie? I used to get the kiwi quencher which is kiwi, strawberries and non fat yogurt. Only thing bad would be the 57g of carbs. But that's like a 24 oz smoothie. Would it be ok to just have a smaller portion?

    Tropical Smoothie

I saw on caloriecounter that the kiwi quencher was like 217 calories. But that's a 24oz smoothie. So if I had a small portion of it, the calories shouldn't be too bad right?

    Gallbladder Removal

I had mine out one month after I was sleeved. I've had stones for years and had an attack that sent me to the e.r. cuz I thought it could have been my appendix. I was admitted and had my gallbladder out the next morning. When I had my sleeve done, I asked my doc about taking my gallbladder and he said he would look at it but he probably wouldn't cuz he can't really see it and he would be fatigued from doing my sleeve. I never got any medication after surgery for my gallbladder. But all is well now. Not too thrilled about having 2 surgeries within a month but that's life.

    Post Op- Day 3

I got no relief for the first week. I was sent home with liquid vicodin. Didnt work. Got liquid percocet. Didn't work. I was miserable. I only got relief when I got a trigger point injection (steroids and numbing medicine).
