  1. Yes tylenol. When I had a pounding headache they said take tylenol no aspirin.
  2. I am 6 days post op and on my surgery day I weighed 253. Yesterday I weighed myself thinking Hey it's almost been one week. Three scale said 238. Which is awesome! I am hoping it will be similar to my Dr scales. Bc you can only use one scale and go by it. I want to lose a total of 100lbs. I want to weigh 150. Makes me all excited thinking about it! I think 10lbs a month is realistic. The first two months possibly 20lbs each. Your swelling should go down soon I didn't have that happen to me so I really don't know. Good luck with your journey!
  3. Wow okay thanks! I'm glad I'm not alone. I was worried.
  4. The nurses said my period may start over again once I had my surgery. For some reason idk. But it didn't for the first day or so and now I am 5 days post op and have a heavier period then my normal one!! What the heck?? Has this happened to anyone? Should I be concerned? I know it may seem gross but had to ask.
  5. Thank you! I will have to try all those things. I like vitamin water too propel and crystal light so I'll get some of those. Thanks for the replies!
  6. Okay Thank you. I was feeling so bad that I was not drinking water but as of now it doesn't appeal to me. I'll try the mio and packets!
  7. I am 3 days post op and have had pounding headaches and my doctor says but it could be from not drinking or eating enough. Sense I'm only on a full liquid diet I need help. I've eaten jello popsicles fudgesicles even apple sauce. Also the nurse told me I could have soft eggs. I CAN'T DRINK WATER. I have such a hard time drinking!! I never drink alot. Do I have to drink just pure 64oz of water?? or can I dilute water with juice and drink 64oz of that!?? or put packets in it?? I can't do plain water!!! And I feel so bad
  8. I only took a pair of clothes to leave in. Slippers, chapstick, underwear, pillow. Books and music but honestly I was so tired and sore I couldn't read or stay awake. You mostly sleep. I even try thought watching tv was annoying. I just wanted sleep bc the meds or sedation knocked me out. And you stay in your hospital gown the whole time and it's pretty comfortable bc its baggy.
  9. How much weight lost at 2 weeks? How much after one month? Three months? Six months? One year?
  10. Yeah you can't really make him agree but he should atleast support you. Tell him you couple stop complaining about yourself and finally be happy. He may say u can exercise, but for some people it isn't that easy!! It's something u can't explain just something u know within yourself.
  11. I had my surgery Aug 29 Wednesday, and left Thursday Aug 30. I had no complications or no breathing issues. I had no nausea or high blood pressure. I was well although I still have left side pain. It's more of an ache. Also a headache I don't know if it is from the sedation or what but I am sleepy so mostly resting and getting up every hour or so to walk a little. Hope it helps.
  12. I have drank water, broth, popsicle and jello. I may need more and I do walk. Maybe it's just this week I'll have to get though. Thanks!
  13. Thanks. Yeah I wouldn't think they'd mix up but I guess I never know.
  14. Two different nurses say to me after surgery, did u have the sleeve done? I said no.. bypass. They say Oh ok it was written here that's all. Ahhh! What if they did the wrong surgery??!!
  15. Wednesday was my surgery and I am still in pain. I know it's only Friday but it's hard to get any sleep. It's like I have flu symptoms, headache and body aches. Ugh it's hard to drink water bc I can feel it going down and it's uncomfortable. Also I can eat jello or Popsicles well bc I can feel it. I try though. Bc I don't wanna be dehydrated. Does anyone have suggestions??!! Did u feel this way?? I'm trying to sleep a lot but when I wake up I Still feel crappy. I know it'll take time but I don't like feeling like I cant do anything.. help
  16. So excited and nervous!! Please pray for me!!
  17. Good for you!! I can't wait until I can say that for myself!!
  18. I don't have to do a two week liquid diet. I looked at it like I should eat what I can know until I can't anymore. But then I look at it the other way as I should start early so im not changing cold turkey but... I decided on to eat what I want haha. It's up to you!
  19. That helps a lot Thank you. I wanted a estimate and seems like people are around the same. I have no health conditions so if I can exercise eat right get my protein in and drink my water I'll be good.
  20. I weigh 253 pounds and I'm 5'7. I read on here that some people lose 50 pounds in 1 to 2 months. I know it varies who the person is I wonder if that will be me. Is anybody similar to my height and weight the has lost a lot of weight in a short time? i know it may take time but just curious and anxious
  21. No I have no health issues. Might sound weird but I don't want to lose too much weight and look ill like some people end up looking. And exactly I want the surgery that seems to workout best long term and gives me the most help. Wednesday is the big day!!
  22. Wear a pair of ankle weights. I heard someone did that!!
  23. Yea I don't want to go back time and time again for fills. I am excited. I researched and heard I would lose more weight. That made me decision even more. But I am 250. Am I not heavy enough? My Dr said it was ok. It's already set in stone. August 29th
  24. So a couple days ago I called my Dr and switched to gastric bypass surgery instead of lap band. I was just feeling doubtful of the lap band and I didn't want to go into this feeling that way. Does anybody have any encouraging words about gastric bypass ?? I have done my research about all surgeries and I feel like this surgery can help me the most.
