    Exercise?

    I dk how to help you because I am having the same problem. I am 2 1/2 months post op and have lost 40 lbs. But can't see much of a difference in my clothes. I mean i wore size 18 now i can fit into 16 and 14 stretch. But geez I thought id see more of a change after 40lbs. I'd love to get some help too!
  3. Surgery was Aug 29th and I weighed 253. Today I weigh 216. I'm pretty happy with that. But it isn't my final goal. I want to weigh 165. I feel stuck on how to get there!! I know eat better. Which I have. Once you get the surgery its not like you can really eat bad again. Well I can't. I have to start hardcore exercise! And I haven't been. I've never been an exercise kind of person, clearly why I became fat. I joined a gym but its boring. I have a bike and treadmill but that can be boring. I'm thinking about joining a dance/exercise class. Ugh help I need some encouragement to kick some weight off!!

  6. What kinds of things are you doing to lose your belly?? My lower belly is my biggest problem. Ugh of course right where my pants button! I want a flat or somewhat flat belly! What can I do besides the average sit ups or average work out?? Help! I want to start seeing pants size drop!

    I Have A Problem...

    You should talk to your Dr and not be embarrassed about the purging. It's not like you are doing it on purpose or whatever. You're doing it because the food is uncomfortable and it needs to be thrown up! I've done this. Not every day, but quite often. Ask your Dr and see what they say. It may not be as uncommon as you think. But if you ARE purging on purpose to only lose weight then yes that's very unhealthy and you may need more help.
  8. Mine are also occasionally itchy. Only one or two of them. I sometimes put neosporn or however you spell it.
  9. Ive read somewhere of heard somewhere that we weren't supposed to eat popcorn, or corn. That it wasn't good for us to digest.. idk if this is correct or not. When I ate corn I had no problem. I also had popcorn and almost had an entire bag!! I was shocked. But I think its so small that basically its easy to eat and swallow. Maybe that's why it isn't recommended since popcorn isn't the healthiest snack. But I also didn't think it was the worst.
  10. Ok thanks. Yeah I had no problem eating either but I knew I heard something about it. I probably will occasionly eat both.

  12. One month and a few days post op and have lost 34lbs!! I am ecstatic! People are noticing and its awesome. I also colored my hair to look brand new and I am starting to lol. About 60lbs to go. I weighed 253 and today I weighed 219. I hope to weigh 200 by Thanksgiving. I need to kick in the work out! Just wanted to share. Feeling so proud.
  13. Seems like you're doing great getting your water in and protein. I would suggest getting a blood test and see how everything is working out. I heard getting one every three months us a good idea. Especially if your bruising easily.
  14. I'm wondering if the little that I am eating could be a bad thing. Literally Saturday I only had a couple bites of a chicken breast. I'm not thinking about food anymore and eating isn't what it used to be. I used to enjoy it because everything fit and tasted good. Now its like im just not interested. Or if I am I eat like four bites. Idk I was just wondering if anyone else is this way? I take vitamins and drink fluids just am not thinking about eating. Hmm.
  15. Surgery weight was 253 and 1 month later I am 223. 30lbs down. I think ok doing great. And feel great. My goal is 160.
  16. Okay this all makes me feel better. I am 1 month post op. And exactly I have to remind myself, gosh I should really try to eat something. But I don't want to be sick if I'm just not hungry. Thanks for the replies!

    Exercising

    I am the same way. I am a medical assistant and am on my feet most of the day too. And I agree last thing I want to do is walk some more. But I look at it this way, try exercise three times a week after work instead of everyday. Even sit ups and lunges can help.

    Pop

    Yeah everyone is different. Because when I drank diet I didn't feel an discomfort. My stomach was just making noises. But I want to try and keep it to one a day, if that. I don't want to get lost in bad habits again.

    At my two week appt my Dr said pop was aloud. As long as its diet. He said carbonation won't stretch my stomach. I thought this was pretty cool incase I occasionally drink diet pop.

    Period

    The surgery made me start my period and I was on it for about 2 weeks. Then one week later my actual period started! so I was on by period from Aug 30—until like one week ago! Everyone may be different..
  22. Went to my two week appt today and starting weight day of surgery was 253. Today I weighed 233. Yayyyy!! So excited. Had to share! About 70lbs to go until my goal!!

  24. Thanks that was helpful. I realize now I only get one of those symptoms. I was sort of nervous to why I wasn't feeling worse from sugar. Makes me feel better that not everyone experiences all symptoms.
