  1. Ladies and Gents, I am starting to think that it is just me being depressed. I really thought that I would be a lot happier about having surgery and to me its just "blah" i guess. I think about it and am like O.K., I got approved, whats new? I believe I am soo used to having something that I want really bad not come to me or having to fight really hard to have it. Trust me, I am greatful, but I just cant shake the "ordinary" feeling. I have had a lot going on in these past weeks. I also am super pissed that the coordinator for the surgeons office was so damned pessimistic. She all but guaranteed that I would be denied due to her previous 1 experience. She doesnt return emails, nor phone calls unless i call her supervisor, the office is unorganized and I never can get any "great" information. So was her lack of enthusiasm rubbing off on me? I dont know. Sad thing is, the doctor is awesome.. He is new to the hospital and I must say, I dont think he knows the half of it.
  2. Oh I have seen the EMMi application and yes it was very informative. Best of luck to you!

Will keep you posted @Fearless-- Welcome Welcome Welcome.. Aetna has been good to me and hopefully to Perez and you as well. What steps are you following in your 3 month. 13. Well keep it moving. If you are familiar with Leslie Sansone, she has some awesome DVD's where you "walk" in the house. Some of them are 3 and 4 miles long and trust me, they give you a great workout. I purchased mine from a friend but amazon and walmart sell them. Keep up the good work and once I have my surgery I will be sure to look for you for some inspiration!
  14. Is there anyone else who is scheduled for surgery this week!? Please let us know... @ Mandy, I will have a big banner waiting on your here on Monday!!!!! Lol... get ready!
  15. @diva-- I hope that you made it out safely. Please post and let us know that you are o.k.
  16. Oh my Goodness.. I am soo sorry that you are going through this rough Time. I do pray that everything works out for the better. There are those unfortunate risks that we all have decided to "make peace with" and pray that they do not rear their ugly heads.... You are in my prayers.
  17. GO GO GO DEE DEE!!!!!! Feeling fantastic today! I am soo happy for you and keep up the good work!
  18. This is really good information. Fortunately of all the protein shakes that I have made, I have never had foaming. Probably because my shakes are thick, but even when they were thin, I did not have this problem. I use a small personal blender that I purchased for 20 dollars at Walmart (it mimics the bullet). It came with several different containers and 2 different blade sizes. I have personally found that blender bottles do not mix the protein powder that well as I have shaken the bottle "like a polaroid picture" and still had bits and pieces of the powder that did not dissolve. I think most of the time in this area it is a too each their own type of approach.. Lol.. Good luck with finding what works for you...
  19. I should hear back by the end of the week regarding my surgery date. I am 5ft 3in and 287lbs! Lol. A lot on a short frame. I should have started eons ago! But it is what it is.. my bmi is high compared to others (50-51). Just let me know when u r ready. I have about 120 to 140lbs to lose. Where are you being sleeved?
  20. Nice to meet you Adrian. I am Shaun. I have yet to have my surgery as they have not given me a date yet. All i know is that it will be in January. When you start your liquid phase, let me know. I will do it with you.. ( I need to start getting in the mindset A.S.A.P!
  21. Mandy, we will be right here when you are ready to go! I am sending some excitement your way!
  22. Perez, honestly it wouldnt hurt to go ahead and start! It will give you a jump start on your weight loss and ease the transition of when you " have" to be on the liquid diet. Ask some of the members what their liqid diet consisted of and get goin!
  23. 1FabulousDiva-- Congratulations. Prayers went up for you last night and I will send somemore this morning. I pray you have a safe surgery and speedy recovery without complications. Go forth and Be sleeved!
