Oh wow. Ours kicks in after 3 days. :-) and yes that does stink! I will only have to use 3 of my sick days to cover the 3 day waiting period

Having surgery at VCU medical center, Richmond, Va.. Desk job. Surgery is on Feb. 8th. Will be taking the minimum 2 weeks off and hopefully given the full four weeks! I see many of you are using vacation time? Did you all check in to your short term disabilty benefits? My Short Term Dis. Pays 100% for the first 4 weeks once approved! Vacation saved!!

I have aetna and too was approved quickly. Did u not have the option to do.six.months voa your employer or did your surgeon require six months? And you have made it this far so keep on goin

My holdiays were chill. I just stayed at home with my husband and slept. Work is so mentally taxing and im usually there everyday!. Yes. Three or four weeks to go. I go for my 1 day pre op seminar on the 15th.. can you believe i have 3 appts that day?! Unbelievable. I pray you get the day you want for your surgery and if not hopefully you can go on the 8th of feb with me. Either way, im rooting for you girly!

Kate- i hope your holidays were nothing less than awesome. Miss tallkjng to ya!! So whats new, changed, old, etc? I dont know of I told you bjt they gave me my date. Feb 8th is the day of determination... catcb up with me when time permits!

Ladies It is soo nice to see all of you again and Kudos to those of you who kept the momentum going! Congrats to all of those who were sleeved before good 'ol 2013 rolled in. I hope all is going very well and recovery is moving right along without complication. Unfortunately, I have had a severe upper respiratory infection along with asthma complications and a sinus infection for the past couple of weeks!. What a drag, antibiotics for 3 weeks can be rough on a girls body if you catch my drift: :-s... But I am back full force now. @ DecemberSleever, Thank you for the post. I am in Richmond, VA, if you are close, I would love to meet up. I have actually met a couple of persons from the other forum, Lapbandtalk, when I was an active member. I have been wired to give to those as I give to myself, if not more.. I am grateful that many of you have gained inspiration and solace from my "prayers" and words of encouragement. I hope you pass it on the next person because you never know when someone needs to hear a pleasant word from a kind heart. If there are any of you who are having surgery in the coming weeks, please leave a note here so that we can continue to pray and send well wishes your way.

Anything to calm the nerves is all right. I pray that the lord keeps you near him while undergoing this procedure. I am doing fine. Just waiting for the holidays so i can relax! And no.. i am no where near ready for the liquid diet. With that said, i think i might start early! Want to join me

Thanx olivers mom Tina, i know thats right. Sad thing is she keeps lying about what she has done. Today it was " oh ive been out for the past few days with the flu and dr bittner just handed me your file.... b.s. but whatever works. Im not in a rush. Just have to push my dom. Repub. Vacation back a few days (in may)
