  1. So, I found out this week that I got approved on the first try. Now the nerves have kicked in and I hate to admit, I'm a little scared. Mostly scared of all the bad stuff that I read. I know I shouldn't concentrate on the cons, but I just can't help being nervous. Anybody else out there with these feelings

  2. I live in Alabama, and we have a place called Fleet Feet. They watch how you walk, or even put you on a treadmill that is hooked up to a TV that shows your walking or running pattern. Then they will Fit you with the proper shoes. They are not like shoes you can can buy at a regular shoe store. They have different amounts of stabilizers in them. My newest pair is Brooks, but they have all kinds.

  3. Hey everyone! I am just beginning this journey and I have a lot of thoughts. One of my major concerns is, what is it going to be like 5 or 10 years out. I am really interested in the lap band. On one hand, I'm excited, and on the other, I'm a little scared. All normal feelings I'm sure. Has anyone had long term success yet?

Contact BCBS of IL directly.. I just had lap band surgery on 7/3 and it was covered by Blue Cross Blue Shield of IL My BMI was 41 and i had no comorbids. It might be the policy that your employer has but it's worth double checking.

I contacted them directly serveral times and they were always very helpful.

    Good Luck...[/quote']

  5. Hi, my name is Mandy and I went to my free seminar this morning. While there, I found out my weight (262, ugh) and BMI (42). They told me because I have BCBS of IL that it will pay up to 80%....BUT...because I don't have high bp, diabetes, or sleep ap, they won't pay anything. I was so stunned that I couldn't think of any questions to ask about if there is any other way to go through my insurance. They did tell me that they do financing through care credit, but that is not an option for me. Does anyone have any advice as what I can do next? Any help would be great. Thanks!
