  1. Just noticed this happening in the past few weeks. There are times when my lapband works fabulously but I have had several times recently that I have eaten - knowing that this was not a good thing - quite a bit of food & not felt any restriction. I had my surgery March 2012 & have lost 65 lbs. Recently I have struggled with going back to my previous grazing way of eating. Why is the band working at times but yet not working at others?

How To Be A Wls Success

Just read this to kick start a new day after 2 bad days. I am one of those people who thought that once I was banded, there were no worries. What a myth. It is hard work & sometimes you stub your toe. But I am pleased with how far I have come & want to continue on this path. So... today begins anew. Thanks for being here for all of us who need it.

    Stretched Pouch?

Thanks to all of you who responded to this question. It answered many of the questions I have. I had my lapband on 3/16/12 & have had one fill so far. I have been eating too much - even I know that - but have an appointment with my doc this Friday. Need to have a heart to heart & get another fill to help me thru this crappy time. I have done so well up to the past 3 weeks but I am focusing on food way too much. And it's always the "bad" foods. I talk to myself until I am blue in the face but then I slip & feel the guilt again. Any suggestions?

    I Need Encouragement

It is discouraging sometimes when we have a mind set & our bodies don't follow the path we chose. Just keep focused on your goal, talk with your Docs & clinic support. That helps a lot for me. Think of the long way you have already travelled & be proud of what you have accomplished this far. It is hard. I think everyone here empathizes with where you are & what you are experiencing. You can do this.
