  1. I am going to try this, hopefully it works! I had my sleeve surgery November 29th, 2010. The first pictures are at my highest when I got married (I love my husband, he has loved me no matter what size!), around 260ish lbs. The second are the day of my surgery, 220ish lbs. The last pictures are at my current weight, 135-137lbs (I LOVE my hormones, I LOVE my hormones). There are 2 standing in my old jeans and I fit in 1 leg (1 is me AND my daughter in my jeans). There is also a picture of my biggest jeans (size 22), and my new jeans (size 4..I wear a size 4-6). I never dreamed I would ever be this size or weigh in the 130's. I honestly never thought I would even reach goal because I had tried and failed so many times in my life. I hope these pictures are inspiration that, if you let it, the sleeve is an amazing tool! And I hope it inspires the slower losers too! It took me 18 months to reach my goal weight of 140lbs, and I have even lost a few more pounds in the last couple of months. So don't get discouraged if you don't lose all your weight in the first 6 months. If you make the changes you need to make to have a healthy life, it will happen!

HOLY GOODNESS.. You look like a completely different person! I'm so amazed! Question.. How did you make your skin tight? You looked like you did very well tightening up.

  2. I definitely wanna get to where I wanna be before I try.. and I definitely want my children.. at 230-250 I was trying back in 2009 consistantly with my ex to get pregnant and it didn't happen.. But it was good because he went to prison..

And the gentleman i'm talking to now & I don't use protection when we do.. and don't pull out.. And I still haven't gotten pregnant when I was off b/c. But i'm back on now.. and I'm waiting to have the ideal body for me.. and then it in my opinion will be easier to get to there.

    Good Luck Ladies. God Bless.

  3. My band came out this morning. It was fairly easy as much as surgery can be easy. Surgery at 9:30 am, on my way home at 2 pm. No pain meds needed at all, even immediately post-op. Moving a bit slow, especially sitting down/getting up, but this has been WAY easier than getting banded.

There was a fair amount of scar tissue that my surgeon removed. The band had also pulled my fundus (left portion of the stomach) up through my diaphragm, causing some misshaping that needs time to heal.

My surgeon still wants to wait four or so months to revise to the sleeve. I know it's for the best, and I'm fine with waiting, although I of course would like to get started sooner. But waiting is the best way to reduce complications, and I just need to remember that this is for the REST of my life, which means four months are just a blip on the radar. I could possibly get sleeved around my three year bandiversary, which would be late November.

On bland mushies today and back to a normal diet tomorrow.

    I still can't believe I am band-less!

Get a taste of everything you can't have post sleeve.. lol.

Or just do it for me ;) It's so hard to watch ppl eat salad right now and soda.. blahhh lol.

I"m happy to hear everything went well.. Good Luck with everything.. :) God Bless you!

  4. sounds tasty. I drink 2-3 sparkling waters daily. my sleevie has not and will not stretch from carbonation, Made goal at 8.5 months drinking these since 2 months out.

Ehh.. Sounds too risky. If we can extend an exception to carbonated Water, people will extend it out to soda thinking (they're both carbonated)

I'd rather stay with the notion in my head that it's all bad and it will cause bad pain.

To each their own though. Good Luck, God Bless

  5. 5 months and over 100 lbs down and I eat a banana every day. there's a huge difference between carbs in white bread and carbs in bananas. Yes, they are given to people who need to gain weight because of the NUTRIENTS in them- the same nutrients we still need.

Sent from my iPhone using VST

Oh please we need to talk.. How are you so fortunate to get down 20 a month? I'm only at 230.4 from 255 5 weeks out today. And secrets you would like to share, I'm very discouraged and sad.

My faves are still the lasagna and the PATTY MELT ones I made up I made are to die for. I use only one won ton wrapper on any of my won ton cupcakes cuz I am a carb watching fanatic and they turn out just fine!!

Message me recipies of those please :)

  9. No...this Tuesday... I'm 180 5,2 and family really don't support just tired of the phentermine dependence. .. how much have you lose??

I would kill to be 180..

    255 at surgery..

    230.4 now..

    Stuck and won't move.. :(

It was painful for me the first 6 days.. The worst were the first two days honestly but I went into surgery at 2-3pm.

I couldn't sleep the first ***ht.. by 5-6 pm the next ***ht I was slowly walking around.. The worst part for me at home was getting up and having the pain in my stomach..

But if you're truly honestly ready, It won't matter.. I was.. And I strived through it.

    Good Luck & God Bless.

Let me know how everything goes!!

  10. I'll share one of my FAVORITE recipes.. (The only one I swear by..)

BUT I need you guys to respond to my Topic and help me out..

I'm 5 weeks out today.. having moderate pain from toast.. Maybe cause i'm eating too fast..

Tried the KFC bowl.. STRAIGHT horrible pain from the chicken..

So i've been stuck on soft foods..

However.. I got down Wawas Broccoli Cheddar Soup.. And 1/3-1/4 pieces of hoagies at a time..

    Very Odd...

I do not eat seafood of any kind, so please no seafood recipes.. Including tuna.< /strong>

    Okay my favorite recipe...

1- canned chicken (Prefer sams club 5 cans for 10)

    1-2- packets of True Lime

1-Large toss of Garlic Rice Vinegar (Found at Walmart or Shoprite)

    1-Tbsp mayo

Take the chicken, strain.. break up.. add mayo, lime, and then at your descretion add the vinegar..

I go around the container like 2-3 times..

It gets dry so the more the vinegar the better

    GREAT ADDITION....

Just today I cut up a piece of sliced cheese..

and cut up two slices of Tomato and added 1/4-1/5 of the chicken on top ate it bite by bite..

    SO DELICIOUS!!!

I want some more.. but no money to buy groceries.. :'(

Thank you all for your time, and GOOD LUCK & GOD BLESS! <3

  11. Oh my gosh.. I was just telling my co-worker how gosh darn bad I want salad.. nutrionist kept me on stage 3 for now..

I'm 5 weeks out today.. I keep craving All types of salads... Esp the Oriental chicken salad @ applebees cept I have them put lime on the grilled chicken and I get french and the BEST tip I had was dip your fork in the dressing then pick up food..

Here I go.. Thinking about the salad again.. :'( I want it so bad, but i don't wanna mess up my progress..

I'm actually hauled at 230.4 for over a week now.. very frustrating.

  12. I tried a sip and boy did I regret it.. Don't get my wrong I really love some Coca Cola Icees and Cherry Coke.. BUT I actually stopped drinking it on a regular before surgery. I had it maybe 2 times at dinner between March & June 28th.. When I went to Olive Garden I had Raspberry Peach Belini.. my favorite there.. and at my favorite Italian restaurant, Water with lemon..

Honestly I may try again one day but is it really worth it? Idk.. Probably not at all.
