Hey, that is exactly what my husband and I were doing a little over a month ago. We did not hit the Casino though, but still had a good time with Omar shopping and sight seeing!
  3. I did, it is a sleeve sin I guess, but I am not a perfect person. I have been having wine since two weeks out. It goes down and stays down perfectly(for me). Happy early birthday!
  4. I was terrified the entire 24 hours before surgery, I was regretful the entire 24 hours after surgery. Every moment other than those as been easy peezy and one of my best decision ever! You should have support, you deserve support, but do not let the lack of it stop you from doing what is best for you.
  5. HaHa, you wrote this is the August 2012 section! I should read closer more thoroughly next time! Silly me!
  6. The 18th here. I believe there is a group already in place for each month. June sleevers, July sleevers and so on. Check for sure under forum speciality groups and join up!
  7. Mmmmm, I have been doing a lot of Miso since getting home, an excellent choice for clear liquid time.
  8. No, they will stretch your stomach. Do not do / go thru all this pain and hard work just to undo it for a pop or beer. No Bueno!
  9. With a BMI of 34 I had mine done in Mexico 10 days ago. Loving it !
  10. I am only 7 days out, but for fear of taking into much and suffering the consequences I measure even my clear liquid in a 1/2 cup (4oz) measuring cup then once measured put it in my cup. I have not thrown up once yet but have felt full. Tomorrow I start full liquids also hope it works as well.
  11. Right? I wish I had asked for an extra ramikin of the "seasoning packet" so I could have evaluated it better at home. I would love some right now.
  12. He said it was preventative, not standard for him.I have had 5 c- sections and an abdominal surgery when I was a teenager so I have had extensive previous abdominal surgery. I found my favorite broth is kiddy corner across the street from the hotel at a terracota colored restraunt that's name is eluding me right now. Heading out again now, last night for me in Mexico.
  13. I am at Oasis Hospital day two after surgery with Dr Kelly. I won't lie the first 12 hours after surgery where really rough for me, but feeling 90% better now.Husband is having a blast with Omar,Dr Kelly's coordinator. Tomorrow drain out and leak test then finally get to my hotel and pool time. I did a 7 day liquid diet before arriving. Since surgery ( 2 more days) nothing but ice chips and IV fluids, I am super stoked for broth. My cost, 5500 to Dr Kelly, 800 airfare for my husband and myself and whatever I spend shopping once I get discharged
  14. LOL, Congrats to you also NikiW714. I take it all went easy for you also ?
  15. So happy to hear it went smooth for you. I arrive tomorrow but you will be at the hotel by then. Congrats !!
  16. BTW, thanks all for the advice, replies and private messages. They are appreciated I leave tomorrow- super stoked (and slightly terrified) !
  17. I just looked it up (hibiclens) can you get that at Target or CVS or something ? Do you feel it helped ?
  18. KS Fort Worth, My bad, you are correct. We ALL like to look our best in whatever way suits us best. As of today your toes look 100 % better than mine . I have an e mail in to Omar I will update once I get a reply in case others in the future read this string for reference .
  19. Hmmmm, maybe I am going to have to bug Omar to get Dr, Kelly's final say on this. I love my tips n toes done and would like them looking good for the trip, but at $60 a crack I will be sad if they take it off 24 hours later for surgery. I am just vain not rich I would love one afterward also, but if it is OK to get one before and I get a gel I will not need one for another month . <sigh> such frivolous problems
  20. Your toes, were your nails on your hands done also ?
  21. I was going to put this in the ladies forum, but am thinking it may be different in Mexico than the states, sooooo. . . When you were having surgery in Mexico was having your fingers and toes polished OK and were there any restrictions on shaving . I have read and experienced American hospitals not liking you to have polished nails due to monitoring oxygen levels, is this also true in Mexican hospitals or no ? I have no idea why you would not be able to shave right before and after surgery but that is what I am reading on the non-Mexico boards but I was not told of any such thing in my pre - op directions. Any one know anything about this . The idea of having busted nails and being hairy is something I can come to terms with I guess if necessary but I prefer not.
  22. His website with all contact info http://www.wlsclinic.com/
  23. Yes, I am having my surgery in Mexico . I assumed the answer would be no due to infection but just wondered if any one had gotten an OK. I was in no way planning to do laps It would be cool to do so before surgery but I will be taken directly to the hospital from the airport
  24. I know many have mentioned going to the beautiful beach or relaxing by the pool, but did anyone actually swim? Is that a no no due to possible infection ? I really really love the beach and swimming and can not seem to wrap my head around being at hot Mexico beach and not jumping in. So did anyone? Was it OK?
