  1. I was 26th as well. I'm down 16 since surgery. Your body may be holding on to all those liquids they pumped into you in the hospital. Remember one gallon weighs about 8lbs. Each iv bag is aprox .21 gallons or 785cc. If you got two iv bags that's almost half a gallon or 4lbs of water alone. More if you got more iv bags. :-)
  2. Wow that sounds horrible, scary, frustrating, and any other adjective you can think of. We read about leaks, bleeding, and bowel punctures on here. But this is the first time I have heard of this. Thank you for sharing your story. It is a testament to how diligent we need to be when we feel and know something isn't right. I hope your procedure is smooth and successful. Please keep us updated on your progress.

Always been busty. Had a reduction at 17 to go from 36g to 36c. Gained weight and got to 40ddd. But when I lost weight I never got smaller then 36 full c to 36 small d. DH is a boob man. So I hope they don't end up looking like eggs on a nail....
  4. Mine uses a 34. Crazy how tiny they all are!!
  5. I was shaking and crying when I went back to get my iv. I was so scared and was feeling like I couldn't do it. I am one week out today and down 16lbs. 20lbs overall and every day it gets easier and easier. You got this. Best luck and congrats on your new life!!!!
  6. I was sleeved on 2/26 and am scheduled for six weeks off. I have MS and fibro so major surgery really knocked me on my bum. If my fatigue gets better and more manageable before the six weeks are up, I'll go back sooner. But I'm not going to push it too hard and end up putting myself in the hospital getting iv steroids and have to be in a wheelchair again from an MS episode. Not in one now. Have been a few times in the past. It SUCKS!! :-)
  7. Yay!!! That is great for a one week loss!!!! Congrats!!! Cottage cheese for me Wednesday!
  8. My gas pain is finally gone. But a sneeze snuck up on me before I could get my pillow to soften the blow. OMG!!!! I thought my tummy had split open!!! I finally slept in my bed last night. I was wedged between two body pillows so I wouldn't move. :-) But I did it!!!! Unfortunately I don't think it is a violation of TOS. But it is lacking in common courtesy. I agree the chat room would be better served for a lot of the random drivel. But can't force them to use it. I just try not to comment on threads that have been hijacked. I was pretty miserable when I wrote the post. And I was looking for some info at the time. But it seemed that I just kept finding hijacked threads and had enough. Each day is getting better. But man did I need my pity for one.
  9. But have you ever been able to say you lost 12lbs in one week before? If we stay diligent and follow the plan the weight has to come off. Stalls suck but they happen. Track inches when the scale doesn't budge.
  10. You slipped. But don't do it again. Because nothing happened this time doesn't mean something won't happen next time. This early out we need to be compliant. These rules are in place for a reason. Also giving into cravings and temptation now, may make it harder to lose and maintain six months+ down the road....
  11. Hormones and anesthesia can really mess with a woman's body. I have implanon too. Nothing for almost six months. Then the day I got home I got a visit from her too. She so does not play fair.
  12. It's almost like the post op diet it seems. All surgeons have different requirements. I was taking dilaudid pills in the hospital. My surgeons requirements is nothing bigger then a tylonal. I can see why. Get an air bubble and ouch!! Can't imagine what a stuck pill would feel like...
  13. Congrats!!! I'm only 6 days out and already feeling better. Can't wait to see what another week will do!!
  14. Wing and a prayer. :-) Glue and internal stitches.
  15. Had my surgery Tuesday also!! Down 16 lbs and get my drain out Wednesday. Soooo ready for it to be gone. It is driving me nuts!!! Hope you can get liquids up! Try adding diluted white grape juice. 3 parts Water to on part juice. Also have you tried drinking liquids that aren't ice cold? Sometimes too cold makes my tummy cramp and I can't sip as often...
  16. Was denied by insurance on all levels of appeals. Had the same requirements and there was no wiggle room in my plan. I did self pay in the states for 17k. Had surgery five days ago and would pay again. Best decision I ever made. Only you can decide if self pay will work for you and where the the best place for you to have it done. Just remember to do a lot of research.
  17. I kept telling my family "I never thought I would be so excited for water or that it would taste so good!!" Yay H2o!!!!!!
  18. Time to vent and whine. I'm 4 days post op and doing great. But I'm sick of sleeping on my back in a recliner. It's making my hips hurt. My back hurts. This drain is really annoying me. And I am counting down the hours until I can have cottage cheese. Also getting sick of reading through threads thinking there will be useful information. Only to get to page three and see it dissolve into flirting, sex talk, innuendos of orgies, pointless dribble that they can accomplish through PM rather then hijacking every thread. I get we are all adults. But this is VST. Not sexual function talk... No it isn't my swan song. I'm going to try to help people and look for help here. But just wish the overtly sexual conversations would be in PM and pointless random chatter kept to a minimum. Having fun and keeping it light is all fine and good. But it's really getting old and annoying. Exchange numbers or email or PM. But please stop hijacking all these threads. Now I'm achy, hungry, on dilaudid, and sleepy. Tomorrow is another day and maybe there will be a new thread with substance.
  19. You look amazing!!! And YEAH!! There is a big difference!! Rock that sleeve!!
  20. My surgery was 35 minutes. Total time in OR was 50 minutes. I woke up in the OR and told them I was hurting. Went to recovery and was in there for about an hour and a half. I was coherent and talking with the nurses 75% of the time I was in there. Went to my room and had swallow test a few hours later. Was discharged 26 hours after checking in.
  21. My tummy has been super chatty since surgery. First two days I couldn't have anything cold. Had to be room temp or I would get grumbles and pain. I'm only 4 days out, but every day it gets better. I still have a little gas pain in my shoulder. Walking and deep breathing seemed to help the most.
  22. Sleeved same day. My problem is that I want to drink too much too fast. Tummy pretty achy. Got pills to help with nausea and pain. Just need to drink slower. Congrats on your surgery!!
  23. No real pain and had nausea for first hour. Other then that no too bad.... :-) Just doped up out of my mind. No fun. :-( Lets hear it for the 2/26 group!!!!
