  1. Tough decision that only you can answer. What I will say, take a lot of posts with a grain of salt.

I met a woman going from band to sleeve before my surgery. She told me for 20 mins how the band didn't work and it made her gain weight. She then explained to me that it didn't work because she was still able to eat a lot of unhealthy food, which caused her to gain back more than she had lost. Neither the band or sleeve make you lose weight.

Band complications... the band was gods gift to WLS a few years ago, not so much anymore after years and years of them being used. The sleeve just hasn't been around as a standalone procedure long enough for us to know what's 10, 15, etc years down the road.

  2. I started at 238. Down to 190 and one person has noticed!!!! I will not go public with my surgery. I have witnessed too much negativity towards people who I know who have had the surgery in the past. It is a bit discouraging!!!.I honestly do not like the attention when it comes to my weight good or bad but gees how much do I have to lose to look different!! I was so unhappy with my appearance before and was starting to feel so much better about my self. People say it is a easy way to lose weight when you have surgery but' date=' I was sleeved the 14th of August and it has been anything but easy!!![/quote']

I've said it before, but for every complaint posted about nobody acknowledging their weight loss, another one pops up about people being upset that others are talking about their weight loss. We are all sensitive about our weight and really invested in losing a bunch, I think we can really over analyse a lot of aspects of the journey. Good job on the loss!!

  3. First of all I want to say how unbelievably supportive everyone on here is. No matter what I think I am going through alone I can get on here and realize I'm not!!!

Secondly, have any of you noticed how people whom you have told about the surgery judge extremely harshly? My immediate family whom I love very much and have actually been supportive throughout the whole thing have started judging me.

A few days ago it was my 21st birthday so of course I went out and ha a few drinks, I didn't get drunk or sick or anything just had a few and now they keep telling how if I'm goingto be that irresponsible then it was pointless to get the surgery... Keep in mind I had surgery July 9 (almost 2 months out) and down 45 lbs!!! I feel great and I'm sticking to everything just have had some drinks.... Low calorie ones at that!!! I just don't understand how they can think they know my new stomach more then I do....

Have any of you experienced anything like this? I just don't know how to talk to them and get them to understand.

how long did ur doc tell you to wait before drinking?

  4. #2 sides and back, finger length on top.. 34yrs old.. been showing early stages of widows peak for about 2-3 years now. In the last few weeks, I get a hair or two in my hand anytime I scratch my head, etc. I skipped my last haircut due to scheduling and it looks much less obvious now.

    Losing hair on head.

Ear and nose hair seem to be making up for it. :(

  5. i'd also call the insurance board in your state. make a report.

    ^^ yes

This is a powerful option. I had a similar issue with a home owners insurance/contractor problem, it was resolved quick after contacting them.
