  1. I understand your frustration with some of these things but in my opinion if you don't like something someone does and says and it is not bothering you physically or mentally it is best to just move on. Not all people are going to live up to your expectations and it is unfair for anyone to expect perfection. This is an open forum and it should be a forum of support and not judgement. There are things in life that just need to be at the bottom of the list of importance. You are free to rant and I respect you for that, I just hope that your rant did not run someone off because they feel as though they are not as educated as others. People should have the freedom to come and ask as many questions as they want without the fear of someone being critical of them. Bottom line....Choose being kind to be an example to someone that may need YOU right now. Sometimes it is not all about us and our hangups.

  2. Congrats on your journey. You are going to be great and there is no reason to be nervous. The only real pain I felt was the gas but that was gone the next day. I just remember being so tired and drugged up. I was very nauseous because of the meds they had me on so they put me on toredol and I was so much better. The next day I was walking fine and moving around and ready to go home.

  3. Know that when you arent feeling well right after surgery that it will be better the next day..I kept asking if I would always feel like that and they assured me that its the same song second verse with this surgery. it takes a couple days to be completely out of the anestisia fog and once that is over with you will start feeling like yourself again. Remember you are stronger then you think and this is just the beginning of the rest of your life. Drink as much Water as possible and focus on your hydration more than Protein at first. You will be fine and you will be happy you did this cause I am 3 weeks out today and I feel amazing.

  4. I would like to take the time to discuss this issue. I am not eating soft foods and it is taking me some time to get to know my sleeve. I get full in the blink of an eye and I am trying to learn to eat slower. I know all the things i need to do. ie...Smaller bites, chew chew chew and slow slow slow. Trying to reprogram my 32 year old brain is going to have to be a conscience effort of which I have yet to master the art of being a reformed foodie. Any how. I wanted to see if you had this same issue and also the phisical side of eating too much and what it does to you. I dont mind if you are graphic with your description because I am sure it is the same gross stuff that is happening to me.

I meant i am now eating soft foods. Sorry. Typo.

  5. i knwo your pain and mine was not head hunger, it was real deal stomach grinding hunger. I also thought it was heart burn and it was not cause i niped that in the bud with prilosec. It was hunger and stomach spasams. I stuck with the diet even though it was hard as hell. it will be over with soon. Just hang in there. You will be fine.

  6. Hey Starvation mode, How are you doing? Well me, I'm just peachy. Its been a while since I've seen you and I honestly cant say I am happy to see you again. Here I am minding my own business and you come along and bring everything to a halt. I am eating 800 calories a day and I understand you are just doing your job. Hey I cant hate you cause after all you are a part of me and I need to just embrace you and what you were designed to do for me but I just wanted to let you know that I am not starving, I am actually trying to lose the fat that is on my body and you want to hold on to it. Listen starvation mode, I need to level with you. You need to learn to let go. Thanks for trying to help me but I dont need you right now.

    Yours truely
