  1. Hi livehealthy' date=' I find the shakes hard to drink as well. Have you tried a clear RTD Protein like Isopure? worked for me :)[/quote']

Where did you find it? I too have been experimenting with different flavored and can only stand the chocolate whey Protein by Body Fortress (Wal Mart). The EAS powder vanilla flavor was disgusting. I have yet to order the powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury. I think I will do that today.

  2. We're not supposed to put our blog links in these messages (stupid rule if you ask me) but many people' date=' especially new people don't have their signatures turned on so they don't show up automatically. But my blog is www.queenofcrop.com Best to start at www.queenofcrop.com/about and then go from there.

I actually have read your blog and I can say that you definitely gave me inspiration and encouragement. Feb seemed like years away and now I can hardly believe its right around the corner. I really am just in a state of awe right now. This doesn't feel real, I feel like it may not work on me, then I see others photos and think man this really works. I worry about missing my flight, losing my bags on the way there, passing out! All sorts of crazy stuff run through my mind. I say this stuff just lightly though because I know that these steps I'm taking are ordered by God. I do feel as though he's making this happen for me. A month ago I was still on the fence about doing it in Feb. My dear husband said baby don't worry it's going to happen no matter what. For some reason his words gave me comfort and peace. He's such a skeptic and for him to fully embrace my decision without the usual negativity (such as what my mom and brothers offered) meant so much to me. I'm truly blessed to be able to do this and make a life changing move. Without God none of this would be possible. I'm nervous but committed to making this life change. I could so relate to traveling with mounds of clothes because you just didn't know if you were going to look right in these jeans or that shirt and to now be able to travel lightly and wear clothes with ease is mind boggling to me. I can't yet wrap my mind around all the possibilities. For me everything is falling into place.

  3. Welcome to you both. You will find a lot of answers to mostly all of your questions on VST. I too am from Louisiana and I am pre op as well. The members on this site have been so supportive and informative. I am scheduled for VSG on Feb 26 in Tj Mx, as WLS is an exclusion on my BCBS of Louisiana policy. I am also a maid and a cook to four children.....wait, make that five with my husband lol!

  4. Oh I'm so happy for you!! My dh says he doesn't want to go while the kids are little because something might happen to the 2 of us. He also doesn't want to pay for he extra plant ticket. :(

I know my friend keeps pressing me to leave the hubby at home. She says you will be taken care of and you can save the money. We will play it to by ear and see how he ends up with work

  5. Sweet Tea' date='

Thanks for asking. I'm feeling good. Except for the week of Christmas where I grazed too much on homemade goodies & carbs, I've lost around 2-3 pounds per week. I do not know anything about TJ since I went to Mexicali but San Diego was very nice. My wife & I went together for my check up & a long weekend. I went alone for my surgery and if Garcia is like Aceves you will be well taken care of. I can eat more now but still not much. I don't measure or track every detail but definitely know what full & too much feels like. I have trouble with dry meats but everything else is good. I travel a lot in the state so I usually find seafood, or something light when eating out. Love shrimp or oysters and gumbo is always good; chickfila has grilled nuggets, etc. I adapt. You will too. Take care & best of luck for a smooth journey.[/quote']

Thanks and I do pray my journey is as smooth as yours.

  6. Sweet tea. Not sure if you have looked at flights yet but on my check up visit in November it was about $100 cheaper to fly out of Lafayette. Not sure if it was a sale or not.

I have looked at the flights however I have not booked one yet. I was truly waiting to see if my husband was going to be able to get off from work to be able to accompany me. I may have to just check to see the price of the flights out of Lafayette. I can hardly believe the time is coming so close! You have lost tons of weight! Good for you. How have you been feeling. How is your restriction this far out? What info do I need to know going into this? Any tips

  7. I went alone and you will be fine. I also went to Dr Fernando Garcia' date=' he is an excellent surgeon you wont be disappointed.[/quote']

Thanks that makes me feel so much better also. My hubby may be able to go! Looks like our finances along with his job schedule will allow it!
