  1. SIP the water, use heating pad and walk as much as you can tolerate. Helps with the gas.
  2. Welcome to this great forum. Here you will get answers for all your questions. Best wishes
  3. Since I've now been "stuck" 3 times eating chicken, I jump up and down. Sort of like a plunger effect on the "stuck" just like when you pluge a toilet. It works for me. I saw this on the internet and thought how dumb. But it works on me. So for several minutes I jump as high in the air and land, over and over for a few minutes. Then rest, then start it all over for a few more. Water doesn't work for me. Best wishes
  4. You have to check and discuss this with your doctor. Get his advice, first. Congratulations on your weight loss.
  5. You have to chew the lettuce a long time otherwise it might lay on top of the opening like a flap and cause you the problem. Check with your dietitian or doctor.

  11. Your doctor should decide from his experience.
  12. Take your meds for a good night sleep. Use the heating pad for any gas. It works. SIP the water, NO straws. Best wishes
  13. If she qualifies, Why Not! Let her go for it, she's young and you can have a walking/exercise buddy for life. This is a good thing! Best wishes
  14. My hernia bothered me more the the band. My surgeon did both on the same day. Check with your doctor when in doubt. You' re still paying him for followups after surgery. Post op visits are usually covered for a time.
  15. My surgeon used a Allegan 144cc omniform lapband and he gladly told me. I paid for it, so I wanted the information. Best wishes
  16. Best wishes and this is for YOU! You will be okay and it will be over quickly. A new YOU, will be started. Keep the faith
  17. As long as you blend everything into a liquid state. Just remember to use low cal if possible. If you blend a can of soup that has 400 calories, there is still 400 calories in a can. Most of us here went through this entire period on liquids for a complete period of healing. I went over 20 days in post healing on liquids. Best wishes.
  18. Your doctor determines if and when your surgery date is scheduled. Good luck and Best wishes. It will be here sooner so be prepared.
  19. Give at least 110% each day.
  20. I started Biotin about 3 weeks before my lapband surgery. So I had a head start with the vitamin in me. Some loss but not noticable. I take 5000 mgs of Biotin every day.
  21. I only work out about 1 time a week, but I do light walking in my work building up and down the stairs.
  22. Not for me. I don't like Crystal light ice tea flavor. I used their fruit punch and lemonade often.
