    My Goal

Is it normal to just break down and cry at any moment and time. I just dont know why i have so many mixed emotions one minute im good the next im down. I guess you are right its just a whole different ball game. I absolutely hate food right now... I have to make myself eat. I also have in the back of my mind that i am going to fail and never reach my goal. I guess mainly because i am such a picky eater. The only veggies i really eat is corn or potatoes. So knowing that i need to eat healthier foods scares me into thinking i wont succeed. I dont understand ive never eaten healthy my whole life and was always very skinny and yet once i had my son i could get the weight off no matter what i did. Its all so stressful
  2. Since ive had surgery i have broken out on my face. I havent broken out like this since my early teens. I hate it. Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this? It makes me feel so insecure :-\
  3. Thank you...it was from one day to the next. I mean nothing a lil makeup cant help cover up lol ive gotten used to not having to wear makeup all the time but the redness from my breakout has bothered me so i make sure i put it on as soon i freshen up in the mornings. I hope my body figures it all out sooner then later :-\ thank you for the quick response :-D

    Im Only Allowed Tylenol

Awesome thank you i will definitely ask my doctor about this on Monday.
  6. I went and saw my FIL today (first time since surgery) and as soon as i walked up to him he said hola and right after said in spanish wow Te vez mas flaca meaning wow you look skinnier...lol it felt good but it was so hard for me to take it as a compliment rather then take it offensively. He of course asked if it was from being sick and if im better now? The thing is my mother in law knows all about my surgery because she is like my best friend so i of course told her (shes lives in Mexico while my father in law lives here to work and support the family) but my FIL does not really know exactly everything about my surgery i assume by him asking if im better and not sick anymore that my MIL told him i was sick and had surgery. In the end feels good to know that whatever lil weight ive lost since Aug 7th is visible at that by someone who i hardly since and didnt really realize how much he paid attention to me...
  7. My doctor used to tell his patients no to sodas but after long research he has now said no carbonated drinks for the first 4 weeks. Dr Barker is a huge soda pop person himself and said that he can not see telling his patients that never ever again can they have a soda and that after his research he has found that having a soda once in a while doesnt hurt.
  8. I just wanted to see what you all are having during your Puree stage?

Can I Do The Surgery Alone?

Yay your in great hands!! I too had my surgery three weeks ago today at Forest Park! Who is your doctor? Dr Barker is awesome and i love his staff. The hospital is gorgeous and if you decide to go with the V.I.P rooms they are beautiful almost like staying in a hotel. As far as doing it alone... Ive heard of people doing it alone and Dr Barkers office says its ok you just have to have someone to drive you when you are released vecause you arent able to drive. In my opinion it is possible but i think it would just make things so much easier if you had someone there for support. The only pain i really remember having was the gas pains as far as the incision areas not too much that i felt more at home(of course because i wasnt drugged up as good as in the hospital) but you will do just fine. I didnt have not one rude nurse or anyone on staff show any type of rudeness. They were all so helpful. Good luck to you! Keep in touch let us know how it goes!

1 Week Out Full Liquids And Puree

Im 13 days post op and they do it to me every time. You can look at it two ways 1. As a bad thing or 2. As a "cleansing" product lol i rather it come out i know TMI so that i lose weight rather then for it to stay in and build up and me gain or stall :-\ idk it doesnt bother me too much cause i look at it as number 2

    Dallas Surgeon

I used Dr Wade Barker for my sleeve and was very happy with his services! I havent met a staff member yet who has had a sour attitude...they have all been so kind and helpful. I guess everyone has different experiences but mine has been great! I had my surgery Aug 7th in Forest Park Medical Center off of North Central Expressway. The hospital was gorgeous and everything ran pretty much on schedule. I think i went back 15min later then my surgery scheduled time but that is nothing. They did say that sometimes it takes longer then an hour depending on the patient so i was prepared for them to run somewhat late. Overall i give them 5stars

    Chills

My husband came home from work the other day and said wow its hot in here! Lol there i was laying on the couch all bundled up in two throws...i immediatley turn and tell him im freezing because i knew he was going to go and turn the thermostat down. He stopped looked at me and walked away lol my thermostat said it was 84 degrees...every since surgery i havent been needing to turn the ac on too much because i stay cold. I even started turning the ceiling fans off :-\
