  1. Just on my first period after the surgery....not bad, but the blood looks darker...probably because I need to drink more water.
  2. Not everyone in my class lost exactly, but close to it.
  3. This is actually how I feel!!!! I don't mind telling someone what I've done ( but that only to people I think are intelligent to handle the information). When people ask how much weight I've lost I might tell them the actual or I'll just say a pretty good amount and leave it at that...when they are stupid enough to keep pressing I'll just look at them and smile

  5. O.k.....a real pain in the arse! BUT I would rather you go in "healthy" then not ( then your asking for problems my friend...some that you might not wake up for...if you catch my drift....). So do what they say and know that you had some good practice for the liquid part...you'll be all set. P.S. I am sorry that happened...
  6. Hang in their sista...as you can tell you have a lot of people behind you. You WILL overcome
  7. I also wanted to add that he's doing you a favor by "showing" you who he actually is....and he's doing this BEFORE getting married! Right now it really hurts to see this and feel it...but babe I have some news for you...it's better to find out now then after you get married ( and possibly kids later). Take this from someone who's been cheated on with my EX-husband ( notice I said EX!!!). It better to find out before you get really tangled with this idiot. But, like I said for now act cool as a cucumber (cause you just a cool chick and IN CONTROL) and focus on getting better and your strength back. I am 2 weeks out and I already feel sooooo much better...you will too ( I promise). Remember- cool as a cucumber!
  8. I would totally focus on YOU! After your done healing and have some strength back ( I'm talking a few weeks) then re-asses the situation....and if you have to make a decision then. Don't stresses about it now....but get him back later....LOL .
  9. They have taken 1/2 of my meds off right after the surgery. I'm still on (4) metaformin..2 in the am and 2 in the pm. My sugars in the am are usually around 118 and during the day between 108-130 during the day. I test about 3 times a day. Just wanting to come off the rest.
  10. Hey everyone tomorrow will be 14 days out. I've lost 15 lbs so far (yeah!). The concern I'm having is that I thought I would be off my blood sugar meds all together after the surgery. Is there anyone out there that came off theirs relatively soon? I know that we are all different ( different times for different people), but I just getting concerned that I won't come off the rest of my meds. I will be seeing my surgeon and gastric Dr. this coming Wednesday and will be asking them. I just would like to know what others have experienced . Thank you.
  11. Misty, I too had the hernia that was discovered during the surgery. I don't think that caused me more pain, but the gas pain.....holy cow! I'm at 11 days out. Doing a lot better, but looking forward not drinking all my meals. I don't get to very soft foods until next Wednesday.
  12. Hey you I'm diabetic too! I got off the insulin when I lost the 44 lbs on my own and just came off 1/2 my oral meds right out of surgery. I hope I come off the other 1/2 really really soon!
  13. Hey 11 days out and I'm having some pretty good mood swings. My husband probably doesn't know what to do with me. Don't get me wrong...he's been great in being my nurse, I'm just having these up and down mood swings. Anyone else?
  14. I'm at day 11 and have been having Cream of Wheat this week with no problems. I have splenda with it too. We are told to limit ourselves to 1/2 cup. I've done oatmeal too.
  15. I personally just quit WW. I've been going to my meeting and to the special classes for the WLS. I just feel now that I 'm on my Sleeve eating plan...there isn't that much I can get from the meetings right now. It doesn't mean I won't join maybe later, but for now I have a 65 member support group that I go to for sleevers and gastric bypassers. I do think WW is a great tool for your family...and if you think you would benefit from it...hey! I say go.
  16. It was kinda weird, but most ( if not all) of the pain was from the gas! Yeah I was "sore" from the surgery, but no pain. The gas on the other hand....what a pain in the butt! I'm two weeks out and getting better everyday.
  17. Thanks everyone! Oatmeal with a little Splenda it is!
  18. Hey everyone....on day 5 post surgery...they say that we can have strained cream of wheat or strained oatmeal. Anyone know if we can have Splenda?
  19. I had mine done on Monday June 25....I had the bad gas pains, but doin much better!!
  20. I saw the "ads" too. I agree with pookeyism. I think if you suggest something because you use it as a total consumer ( no way attached to the company or making money off it), I think it's great to hear a tip. If you ARE attached to a company or making money from it, then I question why they are posting about it. Just saying....
  21. heal fast and we're all behind ya!
  22. Not sure what people mean by their "nut" telling them this or that. I 'm new so I'm not getting it.....LOL
  23. Chrissy, how are you doing....I going in on Monday....nervous.
