    Told To Stop Jogging

I could have swore they were related as it happened a few times. That PA is no longer there, matter of fact no one I started out with is there. I wonder why all have left? This message was not pushed with the old staff. I will say I don't care for the new staff, they make me feel un welcomed, rushed, and like what I say is unimportant. I feel like I am annoying them with my questions or when I question their new theories. It's one sided. When I'm in the office I don't speak up to that as it takes me time to really get ast the " did they just say what I think I heard?" Then by that time I'm gone. My appointments last like 3 minutes since my dilated esophagus. I am going to keep jogging and search for a different office with medical records in hand. This is a hard journey and with little support from the office makes it that much harder. It's like learning to et all over again and being told you over eat and your exercise routine is wrong hurts. No applause for the added effort, just told not on the right track. Thank you all for listening. Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk

    Told To Stop Jogging

I started jogging again! Thanks for all the encouragement. There was never talk of changing up my routine or the discussion of how my muscles could memorize my routine and lose its effect. It is their new data and that is what they push. I agree I do need to see the Dr, I only saw him for my one year follow up. They give fills by eye balling it and after reading these posts I wonder if my fills were done accurately, they have never used a machine to view my port. I used to complain that I would get sick to my stomach after a fill and they would say they aren't related. I Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk

    Told To Stop Jogging

I never see the dr, I was going once a month. Then stopped for a period due to heavy travel and when I went back there was a whole new staff. The two PA's are all one sees for fills or follow ups. They both advise this and when I question it they say it is based on the latest research and that it sounds counter productive but it is totally sane. I don't buy it. Told To Stop Jogging

It is coming off slowly, as I was filled too much and caused a dilated esophagus. I had to have Fluid let out and slowly replaced, currently at 6.5 cc and at my sweet spot. I see the difference in my clothes, I was so happy to be able to get into large and x large clothes, as that was not an option before. I stopped focusing on the scale, but this office doesn't measure me so they don't even know the inches I've lost. I feel good, I have energy I hadn't felt in years. I have to tell myself I didn't get here over night and am so much happier with he progress I have made. Without the surgery I would still be a size 24. With PCOS nothing worked except for the surgery, I wish the dr' s office shared my joy but they don't. I will seek a new office soon to stay on track. Thanks for the supportive words. Told To Stop Jogging

These are PA's. all new staff. No one sees dr again, only for 1 year follow up. So those are the only two folks I see. Honestly makes me not want to go back. Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk

    Told To Stop Jogging

She is the only one I see to give me my fills and critiques my slow weight loss. She isn't very helpful in this area and says that is what the latest research says. I guess I could lie about my exercising. I have lost about 80 lbs in 2 years and dropped from size 24 to 14. I am happy with my progress but she says it should be more and tht I can only eat a 1/2 cup serving for each meal and limit my walking to 5 days a week, I was at 7 days a week and jogging. I also think this is not right. Seems kind of personal but don't want to read into it. The other woman I saw said no high impact exercise for the same reason and dropped me to 5 days a week. So this is the culture there. Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk

    Told To Stop Jogging

I was told to stop jogging, that it was causing me to stop my weight loss. I was told they would tell me when I could jog, I could walk only and not too fast. I was o disheartened and do not want to go back to True Results office. I let her know that I felt great and saw a difference in my clothes and my muscle tone and was still told to stop. Their studies indicate this is a shock o my system and cursing my body to hold onto calories. I had stopped going for a year and went back and never heard this before. Is this true. Weight--Running

I started at 230 and was sore for a few days. I walk and jog 3 miles 5 times a week.
  10. Thank you or the warm welcome and positive vibes. Made my day!
  11. Feeling energized and renewed. I had surgery two years ago and only lost 40 pounds. Having been in an abusive relationship didn't allow me to work on me, now that I am out, I feel like I can finally work on me. Everyone's posts give me inspiration and motivation that I can do this. I recently learned I was banded too tightly and caused my esophagus to dilate and had fluid removed. I am seeing my dr in two days and hope all is well and can get a fill, as I get soooo hungry and have no restriction. Went from .7 to .4, big reduction. Good news is tht though weight loss is slow I have not gained any weight since the surgery. I started walking and jogging 3 miles daily mixed with tae bo, hopefully that will help me along. Having PCOS doesn't help either, but I am happy that I am not where I used to be. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!
