  1. I just bought a small can to try the powder out I usually use the Atkins shakes cuz I can tolerate their taste. Any advice on jillians?
  2. My surgeon said 6 months post op I could start introducing carbonation in my diet but it has to be caffeine free. I use to drink a ton a day and now after surgery I don't even think about it I couldn't imagine how sweet it would taste.

  4. This is a huge fear of mine as well I already have thin hair and now I see all the posts of people losing hair i'm freaking out lol
  5. I'm aware of the Carb rule and follow my nut advice. It was my first time eating noodles and I eat nothing but protein. My surgeon said it was fine once in awhile. I do not plan on never having carbs if I get all my protein in for the day. My nut said carbs are welcome as long as all protein gets in first. I'm just making sure that Im not over eating them. My weight loss has been very good at this point and that's with having some carbs every day. Just wasn't sure about how noodles worked since it was my first time eating them
  6. I had some top ramen knowing it is bad for me but better then cheating with sweets lol I was able to eat half the pack and felt fine. Kinda worried that I shouldn't be able to eat that much.
  7. Anyone eat noodles during their soft good stage? If so how much could you eat and how did it make you feel?
  8. If you call and speak to a superviser with your insurance company and explain your situation it may help them speed things up. That's what I did and I was approved the very next day.
  9. I am two Weeks out and after next week i'm on soft foods but I have healed very quickly and I have had zero problems i'm not on an antacid and I've had zero reflux, no gas aids or anything. I feel like I did prior to surgery. Every Dr is different my Dr allows me to eat scrambled eggs, oat meal, soft what noodles and things like that.
  10. My dad, friend, and myself have all been sleeved and we get the craziest looks when we go out to eat and all 3 of us share 1 meal and order no drinks never fails they ask us at least 3 times if we need to order more food lol
  11. I get the same think and the only thing that relieves it is walking after I eat. Helps so much!
  12. I'm on soft foods and I can drink like normal but when I way something solid I get 2-3 bites in and i'm stuffed!
  13. It was like a really hard menstrual cramp that would come and go as I was sitting it was there if I was standing it wasn't as bad. I did get some pain in my kidneys as well but worse in front lower right side I thought it was my appendix it hurt so bad
  14. Try having whatever you are eating or drinking being room temperature. If I eat or drink anything that is hot or cold I get that pain. Room temperature doesn't do that to me.
  15. I Had the same pain went to er and it was kidney stones and Dr said was very common in women after surgery.
  16. Anyone experience them after surgery? My surgeon said its common to get them after surgery and I've passed 2 since my surgery.
  17. I am 12 days post op and I still get the gurgling. All pain from drinking and eating has completely gone away except when I drink or eat to much. Doc says the gurgles are just your guts letting you know they are there lol
  18. My doc started me on pureed food 1 week post op. I handled them very well and Dr said if I can chew my food literally to mush then a little bit would be ok but not recommended. I would not attempt any meat this early without blending it. I ate scrambled eggs with cheese for the first time yesterday and felt fine but was very full the rest of the day after just 4 small bites. I understand how hard it is i'm going through the same thing. Go off what ths docs instructions are so you don't risk getting a leak. But if you eat rice chew chew chew! Lol
  19. I'm currently still on the prevpack so I take previous twice a day.
  20. It comes and goes it just started a day or so ago but I'll pay attention if its only when I eat
  21. That would make complete sense to me because i'm barely allowed pureed foods and still learning to stop when i'm full cuz I can't tell yet. Thank you!
  22. I get a weird tingly sensation at the back of my throat since ...... Any one else get this?
  23. Thanks everyone for the info. I'm not going to eat anything not recommended by my doctor but I was just curious if it was chewed really well if it would hurt. The surgery has not fixed my emotional, stress, and bored eating. I still have the urge to eat like I did before surgery and i'm working on channeling those anxieties in a different way but as we all know it takes time. Also I have read so many different diets out there post op. I've had to pretty much stop eating and smoking at the same time its so hard!!! But it helps getting encouragement from you guys to keep me on the right path in this journey
