It is working, just weighed myself and lost 3 lbs since yesterday! Today is a little tougher, did fine at work, came home and my fam is having dinner...I munched on a broccoli speer...yum Just gota keep a strong mind...this will all be worth it in the end! Glad I have you guys to speak to, we are all in this at the same time!! Ahh this is going to be so unreal one year from now!!

Anali and Mimi ' date=' I had a horrible headache yesterday. I woke up with it and couldn't get rid of it all day. I even had to take some of my husbands Migraine medicine at midnight just so I could sleep. I am on day 2 of the Protein shakes. I am using the "Jay Robb" brand. They are whey Protein isolate powders. The chocolate is pretty good and the strawberry was just ok. I had a bowl of Progresso light chicken and dumpling Soup last night and it tasted like manna from Heaven! I can have 2 other sugar free Snacks and that is it. I can't have any veggies and just fruit added to my shake. Today I am really hungry. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day![/quote']

It WILL get better....we just have to suck it up for whats to come...just keep on sipping those shakes and pretend its something much better haha keep me posted!

Its going better than I anticipated, kind of surprised acctually!! Although these Protein Shakes effect my stomach a little but otheriwse no migrains or aggrevation! Well at least for now. Are you allowed veggies? I am only 2 cups a day but non sarchy so no potatoes or corn which is fine. Hows day 2 holding up for you?!

Not doing too bad thus far on day 1 of liquids, how is everyone else holding up?

Hey guys its been a while but super excited that insurance approved me and I am scheudled for surgery on Jan 23rd!!!! Any advice is much needed!! Also 3 weeks after surgery I have a planned trip to costa rica; ideas and thoughts on this? I may cancel depending on how I am feeling and what the doc tells me...

Hi guys! So I just got a new job and I am on a 6 month probation. I just spoke to my manager and told her I will be submitting to insurance soon for lapband. She said I will be able to take 2 days off prior to my 6 month probation in order to have surgury...do u think if I had the surgury on a thurs morning and going back to work on monday would be enough time? I sit most of my day at work....help please

Hi guys!! What is the point of the 3 or 6 month pre op diet? Is it for weight loss or just to maintain? What is insurance accually looking for, and could I be denied if I loose weight?

I read this post and couldnt help but sympathise with you. I had a similar experience this past Sunday. My boyfriend and I went to yankee stadium to go see a professional soccer game; I was totally excited but we parked the car about a mile from the stadium and to top it off we had nose bleed seats and we walked up ramp after ramp after ramp to get up there! I was so out of breath and felt so out of shape, it got me so depressed! Believe me it is definitly difficult but we are all in the same boat and we all want to

better ourselves! Keep your head up and I promise ill do the same

Hey guys, so I made my appt for July 31st!!!!! Super excited! I get to meet the nurse, nutritionist Despina, and Dr. Fielding! I have Aetna so I think I will have to do a monitored 3 month diet for insurance unfortunitly How do you guys like the band so far? How much have you all lost since the procedure? What do all of your scars look like? Is anyone puking up food, eekkk?! What was the frist appt like for everyone? I know I am full of questions but the more info the better.... How much pain was everyone in after? Thanks guys for all of your help!

I got the band with Dr Fielding on April 18th... GREAT experience. I love them. He's a rockstar. The nutritionist' date=' Despina, is a sweetheart and answers all my questions via email (though I don't take advantage as much as I probably could)... In general I'm a huge fan...

The whole process from start (info session) to end was about 3 months. It took longer because I had to find a good time to do the surgery with work, but I probably could have done the whole thing within 2 months...

My insurance covered it. Everyone there is awesome. Laura has been doing my fills, she's lovely...

And my scars are PERFECT!! The neatest, tidiest little lines you've ever seen.

Ah yay thanks I was wondering how long the whole process is at NYU from after the Seminar to the date of your surgury? What was the whole process like? And did your insurance cover it?

Anyone have positive or negative issues with getting approval from Aetna? I am starting my journey tomorrow with an appointment to my primary care physician!
