  1. You're a few months ahead of me, but I already plan to purchase an elliptical bike. It's sort of a cross between an exercise bike and an elliptical machine. You work your legs, and get a great cardio workout. have you tried adding weights to your exercise regime? Regular hand weights while on the treadmill will intensify your workout. Perhaps a zumba video, or some other cardio workout video can add both fun and results to your routine. Good luck!
  2. One of THE best Before and After photos I've seen posted! As others have said, what an inspiration. I am trying to wrap my brain around the day I will be in single-digit clothing. I am exactly one week post-op and down 8lbs. When I get to your point, I, too, will have an expensive new habit...shopping! Congratulations on your hard work and success! (BTW: If having to wear Spanx makes you look like that, I'm ready to buy stock in the company!)
  3. Absolutely! Tonight I was in absolute hell after trying to eat ground beef. After nearly 2 oz, I had pains worse than labor contractions. Two hours of sheer agony ensued. Twords the end, hubby was ' burping' me as I cried, and vowed to never eat solid food again! 5 days post-op
  4. It really is no one's business unless you choose to tell them! I have told a few people at work (I work in a school), and the rest....
  5. I was sleeved on July 3, 2012, and glad to have gone through with it. I constantly dream about life as a "thin(ner) person". It it almost inconceivable to think I WILL be wearing sizes, and weighing amounts I can't even remember! I am certainly looking foward to the journey!
  6. I had my surgery on July 3rd, and home on the 4th. So far, other than a particularly nasty bout of gas, no need for pain meds. In fact, I never even filled the prescription! As many have already said, the biggest problem thus far, has been trying to get the liquids down. Who knew Water could burn??!! It has been 90+ degrees here in NY, and all I want to do is chug some icy cold water....a no-no. Today,I had a semi-frozen chocolate Protein shake( with black, decaf coffee added) and it was delicious. I was actually able to drink 120z....woo hooo!
  7. Good luck! My surgery is tomorrow, and I can't wait!
  8. Nervous? No. Second thoughts? No way. Excited...HELL YEAH!
  9. 52 here, and having surgery on July 3rd. I figured better late than never! Doing this with my 25 year old daughter. Hooray for us!!!
  10. Hello! I just joined this forum this evening, and I love it! My surgery is Tuesday, July 3rd....can't wait!
