  1. WOW! I also weigh until it 'seems right'! I think I am suffering that cross-addiction they tell us about...I have given up food for a scale/weighing addiction!

    Am I Alone!?!?!

I feel the exact same way about food...It's just something I need to do...not want. I haven't had any real cravings or desires. I'm not upset about it. I hope it helps the weight elt off!

You only THINK you could eat an entire chocolate cake! it is amazing how little you can eat without feeling horrible. I haven't had sweets or my favorite Lays Chips, and have few if any cravings. I am, however, bad at getting in the necessary fluids and protein. As for the water, add some crystal lite, it has helped me get in the fluids.

Down 28 Lbs In 25 Days

....me, too. I am in a stall, and NOT happy about it. I wondered if the surgeon removed the wrong organ during surgery! I know, patience...

    Jerks.

When you put things out there for people to comment on, you must be prepared for all answers. I don't know you personally, so I am not commenting on your character...only on the facts YOU presented to us. YOU asked if we thought you were overreacting! WhenI made the comment about possibly alienating people, I meant it. You have made a life-changing decision to better your health...as did we al. That does not mean the rest of the world must fall into line and do what is best for us. You will be around food for the rest of your life. The sleeve is not a panacea for what ails us, it is a wonderful tool to help us regulate our eating. Part of this process involves dealing with the world around you, and that means how others eat. If I am going out to dinner with others, I DO NOT expect them to eat 3oz of food to make ME feel better! That is so unrealistic! Instead of being annoyed at others (not YOU per se) take it as a challenge! I have been out to dinner ,attended a big wedding, went to a birthday and graduation celebration, and there was TONS of food at each event. I just ate my food, and kept it moving. I was proud of myself for sticking to the plan. Am I perfect...HELL NO! But this is a looong, bumpy road...get used to it, and keep your eye on the prize

    Out Of Curiosity.....

I felt a little something. On one night, I had a glass of chardonnay, and limited myself to just the one because I was driving. I enjoyed it, but was conscious about feeling 'tipsy'.

    Jerks.

Sorry, YOU are the one that should leave if you can't handle others eating certain foods. I don't mean to sound harsh, but that is the reality. They are NOT responsible for YOUR issues with food! Perhaps you were just a little irritable that day. At any rate, I would curb the attitude or you will be eating alone for the duration of your time with that company!

    Out Of Curiosity.....

I am 1.5 months post-op, and so far I haven't had more than one drink...on three occasions. And this is coming from a girl who enjoyed a good happy hour!

  13. I also had Dr. Angstadt at Mercy. You are 100% correct about the pre-op classes....SO informative! My daughter had the surgery at St. Charles, and they did NOTHING....what a difference.
  14. ...I did when I had another abdominal surgery a few years ago. I was in absolute agony from all the meds, and the gas. Not pleasant to drink, but it did the job

LMAO!!! I SOOOO gave the "right" answers to the psychologist and nutritionist! Fact is, I am an extremely picky eater, and if they knew I had issues with the texture of food in my mouth, or that there was no way I would ever blend food for the soft-foods-stage......they probably wouldn't have passed me!!!

This thread is hilarious, sad, thought-provoking and real...I love it! I can identify with everyone who doesn't get all the Water, Protein, and such, in all one day. I have no clue! I do try hard, and don't binge cause I want skinny BADLY! I crack up at those who confess to smoking or having soda...I picture you all peeking around a door as if someone were looking while you "do the deed"...LMAO! Carry on
