  2. ...... Ladies we set our goals a bit aggressive, so we would have that extra push. We did GREAT!! A 2-3 lbs difference should not be considered a failure!!! Congratulations on weight loss!!!
  3. I am so excited!!!! I got on the scale this morning and I weighed 217.4 lbs!!! My goal was 217 even, but who cares 4 ounces...... Today is a workout day for me, so that should be easy to get rid of.

I had a lot pain too. Did you have a hernia repair, if so that can cause lots of PAIN. I went to see my primary care doctor and she said that the hernia and gas is probably where the bulk of my pain came from....... I had to have my drain in for 10 days and it was hell! Even when I went for my 2 week check up, their was a guy there who was still experiencing some discomfort from that spot too. Think about where its located, that too has a lot to do with it. Mine was right below my boob.... Also, if you had any other surgeries, as this was my 3rd going into my belly button the scar tissue can slow down the healing process............with all that said, you aren't alone. it's only been 6days and while there are lots of people on here who bounce back very fast, we are all different. It gets BETTER!!! Trust me I felt the same as you did at this point and even the doctor said that I was being unrealistic in my expectations on healing. I'm 2months and 2 days post op, and I feel great!!! ((((Hugs)))) I'm here for you.

I'm not sure where you are located, but I've heard that DeKalb Medical has one. I haven't attended any meetings, but I was thinking it wouldn't be a bad idea.

Its probably your sip portions.....take it easy and slow. Im still sipping small amounts of fluid. Remember its only been 5 days, so you have lots of swelling.

Hi! Everything went well. The pain after was more than I thought, but its short-lived. I had to have a hernia repair that i think affected the pain. My biggest issue has been getting enough Protein in, they actually have some in the office called Proteinex thats gives you 18g for every 2tbs. It has been a life saver! If you have any questions call the office instead of surgery center Margie is awesome. Remember to sip, sip, sip, sip. I still struggle with getting enough liquid in. I dont regret the surgery at all, i feel great! Feel free to keep asking questions. I wish you the best!

    Recovery time

I wish I would have taken 6weeks just to give myself an opportunity to get my energy back to where it was and to plan out my food throughout the day better. Don't worry about your coworkers, you are all health care professionals and Im sure they will be respectful that your body is still healing. I'm sure they will understand. You look so awesome!!!! Congratulations on your weight loss!! You are so right I'm about 6weeks post op and I had to take a picture and compare from pre-op just to see what others see. Its hard to see a difference with clothes on, maybe I need to go shopping!! Sleeved 10/24/12 Sent from my iPad using VST

  23. Hi everyone! I am 6 weeks post-op and other than a few workers being way too nosy, things are getting better. Still struggling with Water/fluid intake but thanks to my Liquid protein I am able to make it through the day without feeling like I'm going to pass out. I still feel the incisions though when I stand up after sitting for long periods of time. Has anyone else experienced that? Sleeved 10/24/12 Sent from my iPad using VST
