  1. I am sooooo looking forward to this!!! Enjoy ladies, you deserve it. Shopping in the front of a non-plus store is my goal!!! Sexy Sexy!!!
  2. Thank you all for your encouraging words and wisdom. I am so happy you all responded to my worries. God bless you all. I am slowly changing my worries into excitement. Went to the Cardiologist and he requested a stress test. Going tomorrow, sneakers on, get on that treadmill and knock it out like a champ! I hope my surgery is not delayed because of this, they seemed too laid back about everything... Crazy! I will keep you posted. Thanks again VST family!!!
  3. Congrats, can't wait to reach my first goal as well. You go lady!
  4. Thank you all for responding. I had an EKG with my PATs and it was fine. My family history is jacked up and I do have medical issues that go hand in hand with heart problems. I know it's better safe than sorry. I am just too anxious and want to get on with my new life. I don't want to delay it any longer. Thanks again ladies. I will keep you posted and yes, I will rock it! LOL!
  5. Thank you for the advice. I have done them before and always pass them. I have my sneakers ready. Bring it!!!
  6. Yesterday I went to my Cardiologist appt. I thought this is it, great! My surgery is scheduled for Oct. 9th. The doc took a look at my med history and my family's med history and scheduled me for a stress test. I know he is taking precautions but I feel frustrated. I want to get this over and done with already. I have been prepping since the beginning of May. I did more than what was asked of me and yet I feel like I am in limbo and that this extra appt will only delay things for me. I just want to fast forward time already. I want to scream!!!
  7. Glad you are over the surgery portion, hope and pray all goes well in the days and weeks to come. Keep us posted. I am supposed to get sleeved next week but my Cardiologist wants me to have a stress test tomorrow. I am not sure if that will delay my surgery date. I am excited as well. Would like to add you as a friend as well. God bless.
  8. Praying for a speedy recovery and that God may do his magic through your surgeon's hands. Take care!
  9. OMG!!! I'm scared for ya! Call the doc and keep us posted... Good luck.
  10. Similar situation here... Today I go to my last appointment. Tuesday is my scheduled date but I have a Cardiologist today and last week I received a denial from my insurance because the surgeon's office forgot to send proof of my nutrition/support/exercise classes for the last 4 months. I find it hard to believe that the insurance will get back to my surgeon in less than a week to give him the go ahead but I guess stranger things have happened. Up until this incident, everything was going smoothe. I feel the same way you are, anxious, nervous, excited, nauseous... Wish I had a looking glass to see the outcome. I have been journaling throughout this experience so that I have something to look back on... Those days I feel like cheatn, not exercising, or plateau, I will pull out my journal and see how hard this journey has been... Oh hell no, I don't want to be back at this weight ever again... Good luck and God bless!
  11. You go Girl!!! You look great and I am sure will continue to improve with time... I'm happy for you and thanks for being an inspiration to me. I am looking for all of the positive words, pics, etc. I can get before my surgery. Last appointment today and then I will find out definitely if next week is a go... I can't wait!!!
  12. e.g. facial hair, dark blotches on face, tingling/numbness on ur fingertips etc...
  13. May God work through your surgeons hands. If you just let go and let God you will be ok. Trust and Faith in Him is the key. Success will follow. Keep your eye on the prize, "A New You!"
  14. Hi Everyone: I am due to have my surgery on October 9th. I have been preparing for this day since May and now I am second guessing myself. I feel as though I am going to fail just as I did many times before. I am stressed about gaining weight back even before I have lost it. I want to my Nutritionist visit yesterday and she told me that if half her patients were as dedicated as me, they would all be successful. I don't see myself as a success. I need to change my mindset but don't know how. I know I have done everything that was asked of me and then some but I am feeling down in the dumps. What is wrong with me? Did anyone go through this? Talk to me VST family!!! God bless and take care...
  15. I can't wait for my date. October 9th is what my surgeon is shooting for. I will keep you in prayer and hope to hear some good news soon. Go Slim!!! Nancy
  16. I am so happy for you. I expect to walk in your shoes one day soon. You have inspired me in more ways than you can imagine. I can do this! I hope to hear more good news from you. Take care and keep the faith, God is with you every step of the way! Nancy
  17. Congratulations! I can't wait to see those numbers on my scale! I know it will happen, Praise God always!!!
  18. Hi Everyone: I agree, we all have our embarrassing, sorrow, depressing moments that we tend to hold on to. Atleast you are doing something about it. I once had a neighbor call me out to fight her by saying "Come over here you fat b*tch!" I responded "Honey I can fix fat, you can't fix ugly!" She had a fit and wanted to jump off her porch but her friends didn't let her but at the same time they were laughing. I later found out she was really ill in the hospital and nearly passed away. I wasn't happy about that but Karma is a byatch. The crazy part is that she was heavier than me. People see what they want to see. You are beautiful. Your child loves you, I'm sure you have people supporting you, if not we all are. Keep your chin up Lady. God created you and He loves you just the way you are, you are special in this world to more people than you think ;o)
  19. My doc is Dr. Ram at Mercy Fitzgerald in Upper Darby, PA. Oct. 9th is my date. Can't wait!!!
  20. I understand those that are having problems moving but the class I go to can be done sitting and combination of sitting and standing. Many patients do the bare minimum requirement by the insurance company then after surgery expect a miracle. Not going to happen! There's a lady in my class on oxygen, come on now, if she tries, why can't the others? I've been listening to people who think they are cheating and gettn away with it. Guess what, after the so called honeymoon stage, you aren't losing anymore. I bet you if ins companies make them pay the $ back if they don't lose x amount and keep it off, more people would be successful...
