  1. Yes they are I'm a creature of convenience!
  2. Premier protein shakes from SAMs. What sold me first was 30 grams of protein per serving, and they taste really really good
  3. Hi everyone, I'm a little late in getting on here, I have my sleeve in 2 days, June 26. I have enjoyed reading everyone's posts, but have felt that at times it was a little overwhelming. Do anyone of you understand where I'm coming from? I have an awesome doctor and team so I have been well educated in every area. I am excited and a little afraid mostly of how I will feel immediately after surgery. I hope I don't wake up with nausea . I have had a great experience kin the past 3 months. Lots of appointments since early April, but things went like clock work. I was approved within one week of my paperwork being sent in . I feel terrible for those that have to wait so long for an approval, it was stressful for the week I waited !!!! My main goal in this process is to get off my meds. I am insulin dependent diabetic, 5 shots a day . High bp, high cholesterol ;(. With bmi alone, I didn't qualify. However with these co- morbid conditions (uggggh) I did. Don't get me wrong I'm 5'1 and losing 70 lbs would put me at an ideal weight for me. I guess you could say all along I have said losing the weight will be a bonus, but I want off these meds. I have lost weight on my own before, but being on insulin it makes weight loss much harder. I have to practically starve to lose ;( So I think I have made an informed, conscious decision for my overall health. I am 55 years old and I am hoping that this will give me some added years and more enjoyable one at that! Any suggestions would be helpful ! Nancidee
  4. I'm new here too, and have been lurking also, lol. My sleeve is in 2 days, YES June 26. Good luck to you on your new start in life!
  5. I really need help on this one! I am brand new here. My sleeve is in 2 days. When I asked my surgeon how long I would be off, he said up to 6 weeks! I was surprised, but I'll go with it. I understand that everyone is different, and heal at different levels. When I told my co-worker that it could be 6 weeks she said she knew people who were only off work for 8 days, and the longest was 2 weeks ! So I feel like I have this pressure to return to work ASAP, only because my co-worker knows she won't be able to take off while I'm gone. I have promised myself that I won't return a minute sooner than I feel like I can. I certainly do not want any complications that would keep me off longer than normal. I guess my question is, "what is normal/average time off?". Nancidee
