  1. Congrats to you and good luck on your surgery. Hoping for you a speedy recovery!
  2. Hello there and welcome. One thing I've learned is that Kaiser processes are certainly different depending on the region you're in. I am in Riverside, Ca. and we have to attend 12 Classes called Options classes among a bunch other requirement. My referral was recently approved. It seems as long as you commit to do what they they ask you, then will most like be approved. Again... Welcome and good luck on your journey.
  3. That's incredible. An amazing weight loss in such a short amount of time. Keep up the great work!
  4. Amazing weight loss. Congratulations!
  5. I hate to say that's awesome, but it really is! Not that you busted your lip of course, but increase in flexibility and range in motion is definitely something to be happy about. Congrats!
  6. Sounds really good. Thanks for sharing!
  7. That is an awesome accomplishment. Congrats to you. Definitely an encouragement to us all.
  8. Congrats and Good luck to you. Wishing you a speedy recovery!
  9. I so agree. Vacations just aren't vacations unless your truly enjoying yourself. I can't wait to get sleeved as well. Good luck to you in your journey.
  10. I am still pre-op, but I am not nervous at all. I'm so excited, and I can't wait to be sleeved. I certainly know the risks and possible complications, but the prospect of having a long and heathly life certainly outweighs those risks. I truly wish you the best on your journey, I'm sure you'll be just fine. And I agree... you're going to be running around with you kids and they'll be asking you for a break. !!!! Take Care
  11. That is truly amazing!!! What a wonderful NSV! I can't wait to enjoy those same experiences. Congrats!
  12. PdxMan......you look amazing! Congrats to you. Just looking at your pics gives me so much hope and encouragement. So how has the surgery changed your life and what are the major differences?
  13. Hey MzLuvee.... when I went to the medical review appointment, the doctor simply asked me what I was considering but didn't suggest anything. I am only willing to do the sleeve, and not GB and I told the doctor that. My mom had GB two years ago, and although she's doing extremely well now.... she still has to take a bunch of vitamins every days due to malabsorbtion issues. I am certainly not trying to deal with that for the rest of my life. I would think that getting the sleeve, and losing the weight would help reverse the trend of being pre-diabetic. Now if you were already full blown diabetic, I can understand the doctor recommending GB. Ultimately, the choice is yours. I am so very glad that your appointment went well. Even with your husband there.....LOL... We husbands can be a pain in the butt at times.
  14. You definitely should not feel bad about this. You've already made a decision to change your life for the better, and that's the important piece. You will have a great future ahead of you, and the CPAP machine can actually help you short term. I hope you feel better soon.
  15. That's awesome. Congrats!
  16. Awesome success story. You've come very far in a relatively short amount of time. Congrats to you!
  17. You have some amazing results in such a short period of time. Congrats on the weight loss.

  20. Congrats on your 75 lbs weight loss. That's incredible for only 4 months!
  21. Congrats. I hope all goes smoothly.
  22. I agree with this MzLuvee. I was not down quite 10% when I had my medical interview appointment, but I had continued to lose weight after options class and the doctor certainly appreciated that. You'll be fine!
