  1. i was sleeved on the 18th of june and have been on a liquid diet since. right now i am on the full liquid diet. i usually do a carnation instant Breakfast in the morning (either sugar free or with sugar), then Water throughout the day. ill have a yogurt or pudding both throughout the day and end my day with an Optifast Soup.

i find myself drinking a lot of liquids in one setting sometimes. ill get a full feelong but then a few mins later im hungry or feel empty. anyone else experiencing that?

  2. i didnt have many complications during or after surgery. my only complaint was minor pain around the surgery site. good pain management while in the hospital helped a lot too.

another thing that helps is your pre-op preperation. make sure you follow the diet to the T and loose as much weight as you can.

everyone is different when it comes to a major surgery like this. a lot of the complications are temporary as your body has gone through a lot of trama and needs to heal. you should be fine a few days after the surgery.

  3. i am 2 weeks post op and i think the only regret i have doing the sleeve is the damn liquid diets! lol

other than that, i do not regret this at all and of course, i wish i would have done this 10 yrs ago!

if you never had surgery before, it is normal to think "what if i dont wake up..." but you will. i am sure you will be in good hands with your dr and nurses. they train for and practice this all the time.

  4. Why cant they just create a pill that expands in your tummy to make u feel full instead of the pill. Why can't someone come up with a true plan of meals to loose weight? So fustrated. Weight loss is so difficult.

reading this made me think of those infomercials back in the 80s/90s. they had a pill that, if you took it, it would expand in your stomach and make you feel full. well, they took it off the market when people were dying of choking to death because the pill would expand in their throats or just before the stomach.
