    Sugar Free Ice Cream

oh it was just going to be social. i wasn't going to buy a gallon and keep it. i never really bought ice cream and kept it prior to my sleeve but i would get it from time to time. i was just going to get some with a friend and get a very small serving of the sugar free flavor they had. on another note, i cant find sugar free yogurt anywhere where im at.
  7. im learning to do that.
  8. i was sleeved on the 18th of june and have been on a liquid diet since. right now i am on the full liquid diet. i usually do a carnation instant Breakfast in the morning (either sugar free or with sugar), then Water throughout the day. ill have a yogurt or pudding both throughout the day and end my day with an Optifast Soup. i find myself drinking a lot of liquids in one setting sometimes. ill get a full feelong but then a few mins later im hungry or feel empty. anyone else experiencing that?

    Glad U Did It?

i didnt have many complications during or after surgery. my only complaint was minor pain around the surgery site. good pain management while in the hospital helped a lot too. another thing that helps is your pre-op preperation. make sure you follow the diet to the T and loose as much weight as you can. everyone is different when it comes to a major surgery like this. a lot of the complications are temporary as your body has gone through a lot of trama and needs to heal. you should be fine a few days after the surgery.
  10. im two weeks post op and lost 23 so far.
  11. i am having the same issue. today i had a couple bites of broccoli cheese soup (just the broth) and iced tea. i was full for a good hour and a half and then hungry again. i thought maybe it was just the stomach digesting very little food quickly and then empty again.

    The Drain Tube

it drains fluids around the stomach. when they took it out, it felt weird but i think the suction was a weird feeling.

    Is This Normal

    Any Regrets?

i am 2 weeks post op and i think the only regret i have doing the sleeve is the damn liquid diets! lol other than that, i do not regret this at all and of course, i wish i would have done this 10 yrs ago! if you never had surgery before, it is normal to think "what if i dont wake up..." but you will. i am sure you will be in good hands with your dr and nurses. they train for and practice this all the time.
  21. hello all. i was just sleeved on june 18th. i started my journey last year around this time. i started at 5'10 and weighed 325lbs. after a month of Optifast i weighed 295lbs on surgery day. so far i am doing the clear liquid diet along with the drain thats attached to my stomach. fun stuff. i will say the first couple of days were hell because it was hard to drink and get in 64 ounces of Water. today is the first fay i can say that i can actually drink and hold it down without any problems! it is weird to drink and feel the fluids go to your stomach and then feel it bubble. i spent most of the day reading everyone's story on here and i love this forum. i have learned a lot more about the sleeve here than anywhere else! ill actually weigh myself on my first post-op visit which is next thursday. hopefully ill go to the full liquid diet and feel a little better because the clear liquid diet sucks. anyway, ill go and continue reading but i thought i would register and say hi to everyone.
  22. start my full liquid diet tomorrow and im looking for stuff to buy. has anyone had mich luck with muscle milk for Protein shakes? i know things should be low sugar or sugar free but a lot of things on the full liquid diet has sugar in it. is the no sugar thing to promote weight loss or is it something medical?

    Muscle Milk

i actually went out and bought a RTD muscle milk and drank a few ounces of it. my stomach cramped for a millisecond (like when i drink anyyhing else) and i was fine! hopefully this is a sign that i wont react much to other stuff!

    Muscle Milk

bubbaloo10 i am 2 weeks post op. thaks everyone! i used muscle milk light before and loved it. thought about buying a ready to drink muscle milk and testing it.
  25. reading this made me think of those infomercials back in the 80s/90s. they had a pill that, if you took it, it would expand in your stomach and make you feel full. well, they took it off the market when people were dying of choking to death because the pill would expand in their throats or just before the stomach.
