  1. I know it's frustrating because we think this surgery is going to be answer plain and simple but it's not, we still have to do the work.... and our bodies freek out and need to catch up, just keep following the plan is what I keep getting told :-)
  2. OOps nm googled it
  3. Whats the Daniel diet? Did you mean Dukan?
  4. Where did you have a drain? I did not have one.
  5. It will get easier, I had the diet dr pepper addiction from hell.......... I mostly just drink water now, and crave it. Good luck you can do it!!!
  6. LOL Yes indeed!!! You go girl......... They feel good huh? pahahaha
  7. That is incrediable!!! Congratulations!!!
  8. Are you chewing really well?
  9. I'm 8 weeks and have been having them since around week 5, I've been a fortunuate one to not have any problems with anything I'm allowed to have, I have still not attempted anything I shouldn't have.
  10. Personally I hate secrets, they are just not good for me...... However I kinda was thinking I would keep my surgery a secret too but then I realized the only reason I wanted to do that was fear of my actually failing with this too...... So I haven't kept it a secret but yet I have not broadcasted it. Hopefully, I put my fears to rest and be a success!!! Best of luck in whatever you decide to do.. :-)
  11. Ouch Weetsin......... I am 5 weeks scale hasn't moved in the last 2 weeks, I will kill myself if I go 11 weeks without a lose lol
  12. I think if you can swallow it there shouldnt be a problem I'm 4 weeks out and been swallowing mine.
  13. Are you logging your food to make sure you are eating enough? Also at this point we have to determine if its real hunger or head hunger.... I have trouble with head hunger myself.
  14. It makes you feel really inadaquate at first, but keep trying it's important to improve your lung function.
  15. I say if you have not done so already go for the suprise..... I am a scale freak and I wish I could stop!!!! Don't start it if you've gone this far :-) Just my 2 cents.
  16. Hi Lifechanging!!! Welcome!!! And hello!! I had my band in Mexico, but due to the maintence and complications I choose to stay in the states for my sleeve, however I know of many pleasant experiences in Mexico.
  17. I'm sure you will be fine, I only had to do liquids the day before my surgery but each surgeon is different.. Id say just go back to liquids and mums the word :-)
  18. I try not to judge, like I said it's better for me to have compassion and pray for those still struggling. However I am an ex smoker myself, I agree it's nasty but it is also an addiction.
  19. I think an addiction is an addiction no matter what it is, food, drugs, alcohol....... There comes a point of getting sick and tired and a willingness to change something... I am still on my journey but when I see people larger than myself I have compassion because I feel their pain.......
  20. Newbie, your feelings are normal...... I'm sure I'm not over some feelings of feeling left out, it's hard being around a lot of drinkers when I can't but I'm just trying to remain positive and find other things to do.... If your like me and tired of struggling with the food you'll understand why I say its the best thing for me so far. I'm simply amazed that I am not hungry and plotting my next meal all the time :-) I'm still not feeling 100% yet but its getting better every day...
  21. Girl I know exactly where you are coming from..... I've got people all around me that have the sleeve and complain about that stuck feeling...... Well that isn't stuck that is just plain overeating.... We may not loose as quickly as virgin sleevers like I've read but basically I am thinking we have a plus because we have already learned to chew chew chew...... You'll do fine, I'm wondering if I'm really sleeved lol
  22. I know the feeling of band removal and all the sudden your meals and eating plan are out the window!!! 3 months after having my band removed I got sleeved on June 12 this year, the most amazing thing is I am not hungry, I do not obsess over food like I did the in the past.... So far this is much better than the band to me..... Best of luck in your decision!!
