    Is The Party Over?

Honestly my friends wouldn't give a rat's a$$ what I was doing as long as I was still fun to hang out with. Just be yourself and if they can't or don't want to understand, then maybe it's time to find some more supportive friends. Welcome to the forum and I hope your journey is smooth sailing!
  5. I had the exact same symptoms and my wife suggested that it may be because I drinking from a straw all day and may have been consuming extra air. I stopped drinking from a straw and a day later the gas subsided. Not sure if this is your issue, but just offering my experience. I hope it helps.
  6. got that feeling this evening!! I bought some shorts and was able to get two sizes smaller!! Woohoo! It felt wonderful!

    Fun Question

Two chicks at the same time! LOL! Yes I'm kidding...if you've seen Office Space, you'll get it.
  10. I did the last meal thing, but I did before I started my pre-op. After that I stuck to the rules and did what I was supposed to. I just don't think it's worth the hassle of an even remote chance of screwing up the surgery. When has anyone ever cheated just once? It's a cycle that has hurt all of us. You have to stop it at some point. As far as the Water thing....I generally take very small sips during a meal...if I need it to cleanse my palette. I do not gulp only because you can not only have it come back up, but it also help the food move through quicker and you're less likely to get that full feeling when you truly are full. Just my two cents

  15. Yes, for the most part we all do, but DON'T! You're still healing and could do potential damage. Just continue to drink water to keep yourself full. You'll get through it...I promise.

    Testosterone Boost

This is interesting. I was only banded 5 weeks ago, I'm down 34 lbs and I'm feeling the exact opposite. It's like a switch was turned on. Maybe its psychological, but I can't seem to get enough.
  17. Effin awesome!!! Way to go Jeni! Can't wait to hear your further progress!

    So Discouraged!!!

Don't get discouraged! That is the most destructive thing you can do. Remain positive and evaluate the habits you have. It may not be a matter of how much you are eating but WHAT you are eating. Are you trying to eat healthier? I know everyone's results vary as do Dr instructions, but my doc cleared me for all foods, with the typical exceptions, bread and rice 2 weeks after surgery. I kept eating as if I were still in my two weeks....mushies! After another week of that I slowly would try small bites of healthy produce and Protein. I'm in my 5 week and I'm down 34 lbs. You will find your zone, just keep at it. Look at your habits from all angles and adjust accordingly. Do NOT get discouraged...it will get better, and you will lose weight. Rock on!
  19. I was pondering and very curious if anyone has experience with this or has any thoughts on the subject. Ok, so I personally have always been attracted to plus sized women. My wife, who has also been banded recently, is a plus sized woman. What I wonder is will my sexual preferences change?...as I become thinner will I also be more attracted to thinner women or will I still be attracted to plus size? Will my wife still be attractive to me? I also wonder, will she still find me attractive? I've always been a big guy and while I know I may not look like brad pitt or have six pack abs, will she find me less attractive as a smaller man? I appreciate all your thoughts, Thanks Roby
