  1. Hi.... I added you to my friends... I am going through Kaiser in Fontana and am on class 5... On my profile i have updated my journey weekly so if you would like to you can read my story :) it will give you a little insight up to this point and if you have questions please feel free to ask me :)

  2. During our classes they have told us it is preferred and ultimately up to the surgeon... But this is a life change and i started my life change now and am aiming for the 10%... In northern CA where my sister had it done it is MANDATORY......but really the 10% isnt that bad if you are truely serious about the life change which is why the choice of getting the surgery was made in the first place..... I think its best even if you lose just a little so you are showing you are serious about the change for life :)

  3. Everything has been done. All my labs were great my Vitamin D was great. My last appointment was with mental health on 5/30. I'm still waiting to be called to schedule my appointment with a Dr. In west Los Angeles because saint b's is so behind.

Can you choose different locations? I was reading some people going to San Diego. Do they let you know what locations are not so far behind?? Hopefully they will call you soon..... the waiting is a killer lol Have you been to the Los Angeles Site to see how it is?

  4. Welcome congrats on starting this journey, but it is a long one. I am also out of the fontana office.

I had my referral send in December and started options the week of January I completed the program on March 27 and still haven't seen, nor do I have an appointment to see a surgeon.

Thats no good :/ Have you completed all the other requirements? What all have the required of you?

  5. My friend gained almost 10lbs ..when she went for her consult n was not denied nor was her surgery postponed...then again each person situation is different....u should be ok...when someone else weigh u weekly u tend to lose weight or maintain...for me it was from fear of embarrassment...lol

I can understand that.. lol I think im worried over nothing.... Thanx for the support :)

  6. Im going to be honest, I didn't. When I went for review I did not lose or gain.. I retained Water due to my monthly..which had me 7lbs heavier then my highest weight..so my process was delayed by a week, cuz he made me come back to see if the Water weight was gone. I did not lose 10% n still was approved.

My sister did it but she got her surgery pretty quickly, but shes in northern CA. Im just afraid of them denying it because i gain something back or something IDK

  7. Welcome..n congrats on starting ur jorney...it will be more than a few months...unfortunately ...with kp ur classes are 12 weeks...then after that it is a waiting game...i have kp out of riverside...i started classes feb 10th and i will be having surgery sometime in July...maybe early August...i will find out 4 sure on the 28th...so from start to finish 5 to 6 months...Good luck on ur journey

    Thanks for the reply.

I was figuring about 5 months. I just wasnt looking forward to all the 1 year posts :/ I read that kaiser Fontana is sending to St Bernardines??
