Not to rain on your parade or anything...but....beware...your taste buds may change dramatically after your surgery has been performed. Many people (on this site) talk about this issue, and I've experienced it myself (I used to LOVE watermelon.....can't much stand the taste of it now ).

My personal weight goal is 180...which will "technically" still be "overweight"...even at 5' 11"!! However...I know that I will look and feel magnificent at that weight! My surgeon felt my number was a bit of a stretch (my weight at our first visit was 330), but I am determined. I'm now 11 weeks post-op, and am at 254...I KNOW I can lose the remaining 74 pounds!!

My wife made me a little embankment with pillows in bed. It was awesome. Totally supported my from all sides. Slept and relaxed there.
    Thanks Honey!

Many people experience acid reflux as a "hunger" feeling. You may want to reach out to your surgeon and discuss that as a possibility. I came home from the hospital on liquid Zantac, but had to have a second medicine added (a Prevacid "solutab") a week after being advanced to soft/mushy foods, because of breakthrough acid reflux. (I also got bumped back to full liquids for an additional 3 weeks, because my surgeon felt the increased acid was an indication my baby sleeve just wasn't quite ready for more "solid" (even mushy) foods yet.) Best of luck!

I would strongly recommend you call your surgeon, or make a trip to the ER. There are too many possible serious reasons for your pain, particularly just 6 days post-op, to risk it. I hope all is well!

My surgery was June 19th, so I'm close to the same point as you. As a rule, I don't "snack"...at least not in the pre-surgical sense of the word. My typical day looks like this:
Breakfast (7-8am) - 16 oz chocolate Muscle Milk lite (200 calories, no sugar, and 30 grams protein)
late morning "meal" (10am) - 1/4 cottage cheese, or 2 oz tuna, or 2TBSP hummus and 6-7 baby carrots
lunch (noonish) - 1/4 cup fat-free cottage cheese (45 calories, 8 grams protein)
1/4 cup tuna salad (made with fat-free miracle whip) - 78 calories, 10 grams protein)
    afternoon "meal" (3-4pm) - 8oz powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury chicken broth (80 calories, 20 grams protein), or similar
dinner - 2 oz dense Protein ("meat") (between 50-80 calories, 6-10 grams protein)
1/4 cup veggies (next to no calories, no real Protein value...just for variety)
    evening "meal" (8pm) - Gelatein 20 (high-protein "jello"...90 calories, 20 grams protein)
You'll see....I focus highly on protein, averaging between 75 and 90 grams per day. The more protein you consume, the "fuller" you will feel...particularly if you spread it out over the course of the day/evening. I keep my carbs below 30 grams/day, with rare exception. (And please don't panic...the things I listed out above are just an example of the variety of things I may eat, on any given day. The calories and protein intake run roughly the same, however, regardless of the actual combination I choose.)

Yes, that makes perfect sense. There's a lot of brainwashing going on in today's society. Awareness is one of the first steps towards wisdom. And wisdom begins with the words, "I don't know." I'm the kind of person who'd rather know than not know. I can see how understanding the process of manipulation helps break the chains of it. Thanks.
By the way, the above statements are my opinions and not intended to insult, admonish, criticize, or advise in any manner.

On a serious note....and in the hopes of, perhaps, helping one person... I know I've posted this before (multiple times, actually...so forgive me, if you've seen it already), but, I HIGHLY recommend reading the book "The End of Overeating". If you're wondering why you're craving high-fat, high-sugar, high-salt foods (and Nacho cheese Doritos is DEFINITELY one of those!), this book will explain it to you, in very simple terms. The food manufacturing companies (and my apologies to the person who works for Frito-Lay) intentionally manipulates foods, searching for the perfect combination of fat, sugar, and salt, in order to trigger a chemical response (in our brains) identical to that seen in drug addicts. Yes...IDENTICAL. food, literally, becomes the "drug of choice"....and we get sucked into a cycle of dependence (explaining our need for weight loss surgery). The more I read, the angrier I became....and the easier it became for me, before and after my surgery, to say NO to unhealthy, over-processed foods that were, literally, killing me. Please....if you're struggling with craving unhealthy foods (or, really, anything processed, and high in sugar, fat, and/or salt), give this book a read. It has truly made my post-surgical journey MUCH easier....because I understand the process going on in my brain, when I hear that little voice screaming for things I really shouldn't be eating.
    Wishing us all great success!

    Gustavo,
I'm the sort of person who can manage something if I'm able to understand it. If I know that little voice inside my head...the one screaming for something bad...is the result of someone's intentional attempts to control my brain (in a very unhealthy way), I am able to not eat whatever it is that voice is screaming for. Its a function of awareness....like controlling what/how much you eat by beginning to honestly track everything you put in your mouth. (If that makes any sense.)

My second week out of surgery I was suffering so bad from head hunger and carb withdrawal. I licked the seasoning off 5 sun dried Tomato basil wheat thins but didn't eat the crackers. My God that was so good at the time, and it satisfied my cravings.
Best part was my dog got to eat the licked crackers. She was thrilled to get such a treat. She did a little labrador happy dance. I probably did that 2 or 3 different days until I started on soft foods. By then my cravings were gone.
