I was sleeved 7/18 and I have lost 65 lbs so far.

Interesting information. I just had my 3 month labs done and my B12 was high and my b1 was dangerously low. I had to get a shot for the b1.

I also have UHC and was approved in 3 days.

Good luck!

I am actually quite aware of my "issues" which I think makes me so scared of going through with it...I have used food for everything under the sun! Boredom' date=' tired, hungry, lonely, blah blah blah.
I think this "tool" is my only chance though..as it will prevent me from doing any of the crazy eating patterns I get into. I am def going to work on my head issues regarding it. Thanks all. <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />[/quote']
Hi Monica
I had the same fears. I was more nervous about how i would handle the restrictions after surgery than I was nervous about surgery. I would turn to food for everything! Even though I'm only 3 months post op I can honestly say food is not really an issue for me now. Sure I get some cravings here and there but it really doesn't bother me.

Have you attended any of the support groups in the Bellingham office?

I found out pre-op as well that I have that as well but I was still able to be sleeved. I just have to have an endoscopy every couple of years.
-
I tried salads about 7 weeks out and I have tolerated them just fine. Made me very happy!
-
Fingers crossed for you! I was approved by UHC within 3 days.

I also had surgery at Puget Sound Surgical with Dr.Billing. I'm 9 weeks out and have had no issues. The staff there is wonderful!

How are you doing with raw veggies? I haven't tried any yet. I just started eating lettuce and I am so happy my tummy accepts it.

My large one is almost healed. Last time I saw the dr he told me I could use neosporin and that really helped it heal alot faster.

Hi! I was sleeved on 7/18 and have lost 52 lb so far. I am not able to eat much at all but I don't really have any cravings either. No regrets even on those "bad" days. I know this was the best decision for me.

My tummy still hurts from coughing so much. I have bronchitis and my doctor gave me some codeine cough Syrup. It didn't work as well as it has in the past but I found that it worked a little better if I took it after I ate something.

Im trying to find a remedy as well. Nyquil isn't doing anything for me and neither is codeine cough Syrup. if I get some answers I'll let you know. Hope you feel better soon.

I was sleeved on the 18th and lost 7 the first week but stalled for the next 2 weeks. Finally started losing again in the last few days. Down a total of 30 total including 1 week pre op diet. I'm not complaining.

I was told by my nutritionist this week that I need to try for 90g. It's not easy. I'm also about 2 1/2 weeks out.

I saw a picture of mine at my 1 week post op visit. It reminded me of a piece of raw meat lol. I saw a bunch of pictures that were taken during my surgery. Not something i'd care to see again.

Hi All,
I was sleeved on the 18th and I can honestly say today is the first day that I find myself struggling. I want to eat lol. I want to eat more than I can. I won't but I want to. Feeling a little bummed...
What to you do when you are having a tough day? What helps you get past it?

Why are you not calling your doctors office with this question? Every doc has a different protocol and you need to follow the protocol your doctor has developed for you. Asking here and getting the "I broke the rules and didn't stay on liquids as long as I was supposed to" could endanger your life. People DIE from breaking those rules. Call your dr or nut so you don't end up one of those people.
Wow. That was a little harsh. It was a harmless question she asked. Yes, I follow my NUT plan but I come here daily to get advice or ideas from people here who are actually going through this.
