  1. He didnt request that we go on a pre-op diet. but we did anyway, so the surgery would go easier. We did 5 protein shakes a day for a week before surgery, except for the day before, which was just clear liquid.
  2. My sister and i had our surgeries with Dr Lara on 9/18. They went great. He is a great Dr. The staff at the hospital are excellent and really take care of all of your needs. There was very little pain.
  3. We will, getting very nervous, but, excited at the same time. At this point, i just want to get it over with.
  4. 4 hours, down to El Paso

    Sept Surgery Dates?

    Sept 18th, can't wait!!
  6. My sister and i are scheduled for 9/21 with Dr. Lara. I have heard good things about Dr Acosta, but also good things about Dr. Lara. He's very serious about his work. I'm hoping things go well.
  7. Has anyone gone in thinking they would have it done laproscopically and because of prior scar tissue, they had to convert it to an open surgery? I had open gallbladder surgery years ago and am concerned about having to have it done as an "open" surgery. Thanks.
