22 days for me too! I'm do ready for this!

And thats exactly what I told him was that I will have a longer healthier life if I get the surgery.it still makes me sad that he's worried. He's too young to have worries like that, it's not fair.

I don't mind the shots, I'd always rather be safe than sorry! I just had not heard anything about it until reading on here.

I've been reading about people taking blood thinkers after surgery and I was curious about this. Is this common for most everyone after WLS to take blood thinners for a period of time after surgery? Thanks! Johnathan

So today I picked up my brother Austin(he's 12 this month), we were going to have lunch with my mom. While in the car I was talking to him a out my surgery and how excited I was and he said well I just want you to be ok. He's worried that something will happen in surgery and I won't come back home. This is such a sensitive subject and I'll tell you why. Match 14th my brother Brandon who was 24 died in the hospital. He had many medical problems throughout his lide and just couldn't overcome them at this point his body just had too much to deal with. This has been very hard for me as I was his caregiver and I miss him dearly. Anyway this is why Austin is scared, hell I can't blame him! I would be scared too if my only brother that was living was going in for surgery when my other one had died just 4 months prior. I feel bad for putting him though this but I hope I can convince him that it's very safe and that I need this surgery badly. But I wonder Since he's feeling like this, is my Mom? I can't imagine that of she is how I will even go through with this now. She has been through so much and I don't want to put anything else on her. Anyway thanks for listening and It you have any advice I sure would appreciate it! Johnathan

Holy bajeezus! That is amazing! I'm like you two, I just turned 27 and am hoping that losing 100lb to get to goal will not make my skin too saggy. If so then I'm getting a tuck but it sure would be move not to have to do that too. Keep up the good work, your doing great! Johnathan

I finished my order of sample packs of Syntrax nectar. I got some of the Cappuccino latte bc I'm a frappe freak and would LOVE to find something to replace these horribly fattening Frappes, I also got some strawberry Kiwi, fuzzy navel, vanilla bean torte and I think that was it. Maybe between these and the unjury ones I ordered I can find a few I like and can order another sample pack after surgery to make sure I still like them.

Also, a couple hours ago I ordered both Chocolate, Vanilla, and Chicken Broth Unjury sample packets. They also had Strawberry sorbet but, it was sold out. i bet it is good or it wouldn't be sold out!

I find that so strange that taste buds will change after a surgery. I mean taste is in your mouth, your tongue, not your stomach. I just ordered some sample packs from unjury to try out. The thing is though that after surgery we have to have stuff so what do ya do? I think If I order anything or but from anyone I'll make sure I can return it if I don't like it.

While I won't say it's the best, I have definitely tasted MUCH WORSE LOL I've got a couple others I have powders of to try. I'm gonna order a few samples of the unjury to try.

So the other day I went to GNC and grabbed a few things. I got hungry so instrad of gravbing something much worse in fat and carbs, Tonight I'm having a RTD canned shake called "Pure Protein Shake" in Frosty chocolate, it has 35g of protein, 4g carbs, 1g sugar, 170 calories, 1 g of fat. It's not horrible, it is actually chocolatey, and it's not gritty, fairly smooth and reminds me of slim fast. Just thought I'd share! Johnathan

I'm so glad you had it out and so sorry he was such an inconsiderate JACK ASS! I don't deal will with pain, I have a low tolerance to the actual pain and a high tolerance to pain meds which makes it even worse! I hope and pray your pain goes Away quickly and you can start enjoying the benefits of your surgery. Good Luck! Johnathan

You are fine! So you fell off a little bit! 4 bites out of a two week pre op diet isn't going to ruin anything! Good luck on Saturday, wish mine was then too lol So ready for the 25th to get here. Johnathan

I hate to hear that, hopefully the cold will pass quickly because a summer cold is the worst EVER! I thought I was dying last year when I got one. I slept for almost 2 days straight, I felt so bad! You'll get through this! Johnathan
