  1. Anyone else here on MyFitnessPal and want to be friends? Did I ask you this already? I'm rcwilson02....add me or I can add you =)
  2. I also added everyone on this thread just now....I put "from LBT" in your messages =)
  3. rcwilson02 here!
  4. I also never had a poking feeling, but if I'm sitting too long, especially kinda bent over like at a table, I have soreness when I straighten my body back up. Every day is better and better though. Be sure to ask at your next post-op and good luck =)
  5. I agree with everyone above....take it day by day. My concern is that you are eating until you feel sick each time and that scares me. Maybe if you know you will be tempted to keep eating, try and measure out your 1 cup of food and bring only that to the table? Or do a re-set and start with mashed foods for a few days agian? Hang in there!
  6. I have a bowl that goes with my dish set that is small, maybe for salad, that I know I can fill and that's my portion. I did measure it out with Water to be sure and it's a one cup bowl. I know that if I eat out of it I can relax, and I have also been using some old baby spoons and forks from when my kids were little. Everything helps, nothing wrong with eating out of measuring equipment if it works!! FYI...my nutritionist told me to not be so concerned with cals, carbs, etc. and just be sure I'm eating my portion and protiens and vegetables. Very hard on me mentally, I feel like if I don't count, I wont lose!!
  7. The scale moved!! The scale moved!! Hmmm....once again reaffirms that I need to only WEIGH ONCE A WEEK...which is impossible for me to do but still. Had I just weighed today instead of every day this week multiple times I wouldn't have gotten so frustrated. Hand in there everyone...good things are coming your way!
  8. I also have been taking it slow, but listening to my body has helped with that. I am feeling better and better every day. Also, my nutritionist has me on protien and vegetables but NO potatoes, corn and peas because they are starches so I havn't even had mashed potatoes yet! That might end on Sunday for Easter though LOL. Good luck =)
  9. Congrats! Isn't it wonderful to actually feel full from a little bit of solid food? The first time I ate a full cup of mush I too felt full and freaked out, so you are totally normal. As I go, I am almost four weeks out, I am really learning more and more about my body and it's cues. Good luck!!
  10. Hmmm...I'm pretty brave with home remedies myself but this sounds like a not so good idea. You don't want your incisions to get infected, especially your port incision, and just like the others i'm suprised to hear you have traditional stiches over your wounds. If you can't make it back to your surgeon just yet, at least go to your local primary care doc and have them do it. It's too early to have complications!! Good luck!
  11. Yeah!! You can do it!!
  12. I was confused also when I first started puree because the word to me sounded like jarred baby food. Actually I explain it more like anything that you can mash with a fork, or really don't have to chew before you swallow, so yes, I also eat A LOT of tuna, chicken, and egg salad. Just kinda mash the eggs with a fork when you are mixing it and use lite mayo or greek yogurt. My other staple is I keep lots of cans of Campbell's soups on hand, drain the water, and make a mash with that since it is already cooked and soft. Good luck =0)
  13. Trust me...I'm trying and eating to my nutritionists specifications with protein and vegetable three times a day up to a cup of food. I'm only three weeks out she said its plenty not to worry I'm not supposed to eat when I'm not hungry or get my restriction signal.
  14. I am three weeks post op today and am bouncing between two pounds...still eating practically nothing, trying to get my liquids in, just staying positive that things will get moving down again soon. Good luck everyone =)
  15. I am now on purée and just emailed my nutritionist the same thing! She said that purée like liquid is a slider so up to a cup should be fine but listen to your body....sometimes a heartier purée 1/2 cup is just fine!! Good Luck
  16. Im two weeks out and I feel great! Im having fun creating mushies too:) 24 lbs down hoping for 25 sometime this week!! How's everyone else's weightloss going??
  17. Im two weeks out and I feel great! Im having fun creating mushies too:) 24 lbs down hoping for 25 sometime this week!! How's everyone else's weightloss going??
  18. Today I made a Reuben Purée for St. Pat..check out my blog I also am taking healthy Soups and after everything is cooked and soft draining the liquid and blending it. Tonight I'm blending a meatball with eggplant. Just think of your fav food and deconstruct it!
  19. I hope everyone is doing as we'll as me! I am two weeks out tomorrow and starting some purée today...so far so good. Very hard to not drink while eating though!! If you haven't already you should read my blog I document everything! Keep up the good work everyone
  20. I am 10 days out and was fine about a day after...The key is LOTS of water. My diet has been 2-3 protien shakes a day with a lot of cal free beverages in between and I can tell right away if I haven't been drinking my water. Otherwise I agree with the rest that a week seems way too long and I would call just to check. Good luck!!
  21. Yes, I just recently bought a jar of each, PB2 and the chocolate PB2. Two tablespoons is only 45 cals but to be honest, one does the trick just fine. I have added the regular to both chocolate and vanilla shakes, and the chocolate to vanilla shakes and both are delish. It also makes is a tad thicker wich I enjoy as well. Expensive but worth it if you are getting tired of your shake flavors as I was. Variety has kept me going!!
  22. I'm RCWilson02 if you want to be my friend on MyFitnessPal feel free to add me or let me know your username. Keep up the good work, everyone!!
  23. So last night was the first time my husband and I did it since I was banded last Monday 3/4. I was feeling great, and lost my first 20 lbs so it was a go, and I did not get any time restrictions from my surgeon so we went for it. The whole time I was thinking about my port and if the stiches were healed and if it was going to come "undone" whatever the heck that means. Long story short everything worked out fine in the end and I'm thinking I'm just fine but it still made me LOL after it was over. The life of a NEW BANDSTER. Anyone have a similar experience?
  24. Please tell me you are on pinterst.com!! There are all kinds of recipees for things like pizza (with a cauliflour crust, or pizza soup, or pizzas on large veggies) and also lots of recipes for healthy mac n cheese (like with quinoa or tofu shirataki noodles).
  25. I can't believe that I had surgery a whole week ago today!! Feeling fantastic...20 lbs. down since my pre-op started Feb 18th. All the gas and discomfort is gone, just some tenderness at my incisions but really, really can't complain. I am so ready for real food though....or even the baby food!! Until then I'm gonna keep "shakin'" one more week. Keep up the good work everyone!!
