So after 2 weeks of pre-op liquids and 2 weeks of post-op liquids.... I finally started my soft foods today! I had some egg beaters, mashed Beans, cottage cheese and my favorite salmon!!!! (not all at the same time!! LOL)
Just wanted to share! I was soooooooo happy and excited! Those weeks on liquids seemed like forever and were probably the hardest thing I've ever done! But I learned soooo much about how I view food and how addicted I am. I was really able to detox and start my journey right!

Hi Winteranne, my procedure is on the 25th/07. Started my pre-op shakes. So far I am doing fine. Drinking lots of Water and it helps. Good luck to you!

of reality is setting in. My surgery is tomorrow morning at 7:30am CST. A lot of mixed emotions..everything from thrilled and excited to nervous and scared to death. Lost 15 lbs during the past 2 weeks on the pre-surgery diet only 80 lbs to go to reach my goal of 135...tomorrow is the first day of my new beginning

AND I HAVE TRIED. I have devoted most of my adult life to attempts to solve this problem! Your pressure sends me a mixed message: first, that you care about me, but second, that you don't trust my judgment. While I'm glad you love me, the support you offer REALLY needs to be on MY terms this time. I am proceeding with this surgery because it is what is BEST for me."

Wow... all my friends were excited for me. OR... maybe they aren't REALLY my friends? :confused: Nah... lol
There were just a couple that said things like: Do you really think that works?
My whole family and nearly all my friends were very, very supportive. And my mother still 'brags' to people... "She had that surgery, you know..." Proceeds to tell them how much I've lost. I'm not offended. I think she's proud that I went through with it. I was really really scared.
I wouldn't worry about it with your friends. That's why they have "Support Groups"... for people making the same decisions. I'm here for ya. :wub:

Weigh 260 and have gone to a lap band seminar and am ready to do this. Made my first consult appointment for June 22 and I can't wait.
My insurance covers it I have 5000 ded then it is covered.
Feel like life is just about to begin I hate being fat
