  1. Weight loss surgical center peformed my surgery wishing I went to Dr Malley! No support bad fill experiences admin issues filed complaint with no response! Loved my surgeon and the hospital stay was wonderful, beyond that I do not have many positive things to say. Oh, and my biggest complaint they do not have a nutritionalist on staff! REALLY!

  2. The jawbone up has no monthly fees and it plugs into your iphone or iPad to update your information. I wanted something I would or could not misplace I also like the sleep tracking. It will wake you by shaking on your wrist when you have meet your optimum sleep time. You may scan, type or search food lists tracks salt cholesterol carbs etc. I challenge myself to obtain my 10,000 steps each day! Love my up!

  3. My last fill gave me another huge bruise and I really think they missed my port. It was a brand new practitioner very sore at port? Don't feel any new restriction at all! :(. I am going back next week to find a solution! Good luck with yours!

  4. Yes.....do your research, it is so important. Make sure you have access to a nutritionist and support groups.

Get to know who would be running your support group and be sure you like and trust them. Know that your support system will be in place and rely on them for your success. I wish I had done more research in the beginning.

Loved my surgeon not thrilled about the lack of support. The center does not employ a nutritionist so I have to seek my information on the web.

Working through my challenges and determined to be successful!

My only true regret is that I waited so long!

    Good luck in your journey!

  5. Your band is newer and you are not at optimum restriction! You are in bandster hell! Remind yourself it is not you, just don't have your band fine tuned yet! Do not give up, start new habits today, journal and exercize show yourself how successful you can be with the tool you have.....give it more time before you become discouraged! YES...you can!

  6. Great success story...I am within my 6 months of post op. just now seeing how this tool will keep me straight! Well written post with great information. So happy for you! Health is so important and why I am here too! Thank you for sharing!

  7. This question is often asked. My suggestion would be to research on line the two choices and see for yourself the differences. Between my on line searches and a candid conversation with my Doctor I went with the lap band. But, please for your own peace of mind, do your own research and see for yourself!

    Good luck in your journey!

  8. I have had similar experience from my 4th fill. Challenges with Protein getting stuck. Have really had to slow my eating and take very small bites. It has begun to get a little better as time goes on my band usually will loosen a bit. If you do not have a comfort level with what is happening, you should reach out to your doctor. Good luck to you in your journey!

  9. For me this was not cutting or altering my digestive system and could be reversed. If you continue to follow this forum, you will learn this is a tool and for me has been a lot of work! The weight does not just magically come off, you really have to follow the rules. ( I am getting close to the green zone)

If you want something badly you can put your mind to it and you can succeed!

Best of luck to you in your journey!

  10. This weight loss battle is mostly all a head game for me. I have to remain focused on the prize...a healthier me! I no longer require a sleep machine my blood pressure and sugar are under control.YEA! A thinner me is a healthier me so I will slowly truck forward in my journey knowing my health is at risk. And that keeps me straight most of the time. I do have a moment now and again of cheating, i do get right back on track however. But for the most part I am in this to win! (My health that is!)

You have the strength within yourself just change your habits...if you eat while watching TV play cards or exercise while you drink lots of Water. You can do this!

  11. With my 3rd fill and now again at my 4th with 5.8cc's in my 14cc band I am beginning to feel that restriction. Last fill it only lasted a week...hoping this is getting close for me to that sweet spot or green zone.! Finding a lot of foods are too difficult to digest and not feeling hungry now. I am finally beyond bandster hell and looking forward to my slow success!hang in there you too will get there this is not immediate so don't loose your objectives and keep your eye on the prize a healthy lifestyle!

  12. Just finished my 4 th fill and much better no pain and hit the port right in the center (thank goodness) funny, they asked me if I would allow a med student do the fill...guess the terrified look on my face said it all! 5.8 cc in my band so looking for the sweet spot to occur to get on with this for real!

  13. For me it was a hard puncture feeling like it was not a direct hit in the center of my port. I have no choice now but to go back to the same practitioner due to all others have left the practice. Wishing I had gone to another surgery center about now! Appointments are cancelled and remade often and it is getting very frustrating putting my time line behind for fills. Sorry, I just needed to vent! Thank you to all of my support system here I am always stopping in to check up on everyone here who are all very supportive and helpful! I have learned so much from this forum that has helped me in my journey!
