    I Need Prayers

I too have a box full of rejection foods/vitamins, etc. Really don't know what to do with it. Whey powders. Soups, all sorts of sample packets I got from my NUT....im willing to mail them to you if you like. We are all here on this site to support/help each other!

    How Long

I had severe pain and a low grade temp....the doctor said the drainage tube was the prob. I ended up staying in the hospital for a week I noticed that most other patients left in 2-3 days.

    I Need Prayers

Lifting you and your family up in prayer! Peacequeen, I had a lot of medical bills too (unrelated to vsg surg). I applied for financial hardship/help thru the various hospitals/medical providers >>>> and majority of my bills were forgiven. Maybe you can get some relief that way too. Just a simple form to fill out (some are online)...i've never been turned down; some places just did reductions. The most they can say is "no". I will keep you in my prayers.

    Bat Wings From He££

I have the same prob with bat wings! I immediately went shopping for shirts/tops that come to my elbow or 3/4 sleeve tops. Even in this hot weather, you can find tops made from lightweight material and still be comfortable. I shop vintage/2nd hand stores so have no problem finding these tops; if you go in a mall store, you usually find seasonal clothing (short/sleeveless tops).

    Drainage Tube

I had a drain.........didn't bother me till one nite the nurse did some sort of tugging thing on it and all of a sudden........oooouuuuuccccchhhhh! It never stopped hurting until the doctor agreed to remove it the next day. OMG...talk about pain!

    B-12 And The Sleeve

My doctor gave me a prescription for my B-12 injections. I take them at home once a month. Costs me $4 plus the $6 for the syringes at Sam's Club (10 month supply). No copays or doctor visits. I luv it! I take enough Vitamins and supplements daily, this allows me...one...less...pill!
  8. Don't be discouraged......stalls do happen. Put "stall" in the search engine and read other folks' stories about their stalls. Everyone's journey is different so never compare your weight loss to others! You may not be dropping pounds.....but you may be dropping inches

    The Infamous Stall...

Stalls....ugh!!!! As i've posted on other threads, my stall was 10 wks long (at the 6 month mile marker!). It will pass.....some longer than others. Keep the faith!

    Sorry But Bm Talk

It was 2 wks before i had my first bm....and that was with the help of a stool softener (Senokot). Everyone's body is different....it will happen soon enough.
  12. Lucabelle, my stall lasted 10 weeks....altho the scale didn't move, my clothes were fitting looser so I know I was losing inches. I was 6 months postop when that stall happened:( Hang in there...you're only 3 weeks out!

    50 Pounds Down!...

50 lbs in a month is def NOT a stall. It seems normal that some sleevers drop a bunch of weight the first month or so then the weight loss slows down considerably. You're only one month out....be patient and hang in there!
  14. When i was 1 month out, i had hunger pangs every 2 hours! My nut said it was ok to eat every 2 hours since my meals were wee small and I got full quick anyways (2-3 bites of something). That stage does pass!
  15. Janet53, please try to keep a positive outlook! Your stall will pass! Some stalls are longer than others. I have not read of anyone else who has had a stall as long as mine tho! I know mine had nothing to do with overeating becuz my new stomach can't hold much anyways! I was also doing my 30 minutes of daily exercise as well. Personally, i decided to quit weighing myself daily...i was getting too depressed. My Dr and Nut had no suggestions or clues to why my wl stopped. This website has helped me understand wls more and also reading other people's stories/journies gave me inspiration and much needed info. My stall stopped several weeks ago when I got sick with the flu/sinus infection....dropped 6 lbs right away....i think my illness helped jumpstart my stall...within a week and half, I dropped total 10 lbs. Fill your mind with positive thoughts...put "stall" in the search box and read thru other forums...it really did help me get a more postive attitude. I mean, I was ready to ask my surgeon to do a RNY revision...that's how bad I was feeling! Antoher positive thought: with a slow weight loss (like me), you don't have to worry about sagging skin so much.
  16. I use the Unjury too. Also, try sprinkling some quinoa in your soups, yogurts, etc.....it's unflavored and also boosts your protein intake!
  17. Happy Birthday! It will get better....i promise

    Drinking

Im 9 mo's postop and sometimes i do take a small sip between bites of food. However, in the early postop stages, I was told by my nut "no drinks 30 minutes before or 30 minutes after a meal". I know that the "before" is because you don't want to fill up your belly with liquid, thus lacking much needed nutrients you would get from food. Never asked about the "after", altho I feel so full from my meal that I don't care to drink anything right away anyways.

    What To Tell Them?

I didn't/havn't told any of my siblings or close family members about my surgery (12/8/11). Since I have always been on the heavy side of the scale and always trying different diets, they havn't really questioned the weightloss....i guess they assume I finally found a diet that works for me. So, you can say you are trying a liquid diet? My daughter does those health food stores' colon cleanses, and has to do liquids for the first week....maybe you can use that excuse?

    Obese After Sleeve?

Wowza! Thanks for posting that link!!!! I love it
  22. Never had one that I am aware of. I always assumed that leak tests were given only when the patient complains of certain things and that complaint triggers the doctor to do a leak check? Im prolly wrong, but that is just how I thought it goes.

    Sleeved On The 6Th

Congrats on your surgery with minimal complaints. Good luck on your continued journey!
  24. I hit a 10 wk stall at 6 months post surgery. I thought that after the 6 month mark, that was the end of my weight loss....started feeling down & depressed....then I came to this forum for support. Many people will have many different suggestions and strategies...pick and choose what works for You! In the past 2 wks, I started seeing the scale move downwards again......very slowly but at least it's moving in the right direction.
