  1. Aww....look at my sister being all sweet!! Thanks for coming around cause I was beginning to think you weren't going to talk to me until your 6 months was up! lol! It has been hard, but it helps talking about it with you and giving you info as it comes my way. I can't wait until we're at our goal weight and lookin HOT!! Maybe even better than that skinny sister we call Wendy...lmbo!! We can do this!!! Love you too sister!!!
  2. I had my pre-op testing today!!! Everything went great!!! GO ME!! Should be all set for surgery for Thursday!! I was told the testing would take 3-4 hours, but it went by really fast and I was only there about 1 1/2 hours. Here's the rundown incase anyone was interested. Arrived at 9:45 Checked in and paid my deductible first off. Then I was sent to the testing area and was seen very quickly by a nurse that weighed me. Down 15 lbs since my pre-op diet!! GOOO MEEE!!! Then she took my blood pressure 128/76. Next she asked all the basic questions...do you drink, do drugs, have you had any previous surgeries....blah..blah..blah. Then I was asked to pee in a cup. Yippee, so far so good!!! Got back to the room and she stuck a long Q-tip up my nostrils to check for MRSA. It made my nose itch, but didn't hurt at all. Next was the not so fun part. She just comes out and says, "Ok, please remove your shirt and lay on the bed." WHAT??? Noone told be about this!!!! Get half naked infront of a sweet innocent Granny!!!?? I was strong.... I sucked it up and removed my shirt!!! (Thinking why wasn't I told about this part. lol) She then started placing little sticky things all over me..10 total. Then she hooked up the EKG machine to those. Let it run for not even a minute and that was it. She removed the sticky stuff and I QUICKLY put my shirt back on!!! Next phase was X-rays. I went back to the main waiting area until they called me back. Only took maybe 10 minutes. Greeted by a skinny little nurse that asked me to remove my shirt AND bra!!!! WHAT?? AGAIN??? AND THIS TIME YOU WANT MORE??? Geezzzz, yet again I was forced to unrobe myself and place a gown on. (She did let me put my shirt back on under the robe, but no bra) I was then told to stand facing the chest x-ray machine and lean forward onto it a bit. Hold breath..click...click...next position. Turn to your left and hold onto this bar (over my head) and hold your breath...click ...click....DONE!! Again I QUICKLY got dressed and went back to the testing area to await the dietician. She went over all the basics, which I already knew and said that was it. I was free to go!! Left at 11:15! That's all there was to it! Nothing big. Now I'm officially ready for surgery on Thursday!! Yippiee!!!
  3. Believe me we all understand where your coming from. I definitelly LoVe food and eat for emotional reasons aswell. If we fall down, we just have to get back up and and start over. I'm on my 11th day of the diet and it is very hard. Everyday is a struggle, but I know we can get to where we want to be!!! Stay focused on the prize!!
  4. I've never heard of cysts on your liver! I've taken birth control since a young age...should I be worried?? Will they be able to see if I do during pre-op testing??
  5. Sorry your upset and let me tell you that I'm sure you aren't alone. I am also on my 6 th day of my diet. I have to have 2 weeks though and only liquids!! It sucks big time!! I have lost about 15lbs though so that helps. If possible you could eliminate that lean cuisine and replace it with a Protein shake. I'm just throwing an idea out there though. Be sure to check with your doc first. It could be a lot of things..I wouldn't stress over it. As long as your doing what the doc says....there shouldn't be a problem. Hope it works out for ya!
  6. I'm getting banded on the 12 th also. Are you as excited as I am?
  7. Congratulations for making it through the diet!! Good Luck tomorrow!! Keep us posted!!
  8. So you only have 1 week of liquids?? Thanks....I wish the same for you.
  9. I have been on the diet since Thursday and have already lost like 15 lbs. I'm struggling a lot with not eating. It feels like my body just needs something in it...something solid. Is losing that much so soon normal? I know some might be water weight, but I already take a pill for that.
  10. Good luck to all of you! May you have a speedy recovery and begin your new life.

I know its going to get better and I just keep telling myself the end result will be sooo worth it!! Thanks again!
  13. I started my 2 week liquid diet today and let me just say....I'M HUNGRY!!!!!! I didn't think I would already be this freaked out over not having food, but I guess I am. I try not to think about it, but it's hard to ignore your stomach growling!! Does anyone have any words of wisdom on how to get through the next 2 weeks?? Any advise will be greatly appreciated!! Thanks is advance!!
