So sorry you have had such a rough time. This was something I really worried about before being sleeved on Aug. 1., the complications that could happen. I am wishing you the best from here on out!
-
Birdy18 - I know how you feel! I was sleeved on Aug. 1, the first couple of weeks I was not really hungry. But now, I am starving! I don't get a full feeling like I did before surgery. It seems like I can eat a lot more than I should be able to. I also read about so many people on here that can just eat a couple of bites and be full. That is definitely not me! I am disappointed at this stage, because I was tole that I would not be feeling this hungry.

3 weeks out for me and I am the same way. I keep a bottle of Propel Zero by my bed and one in the car also!

Wow! How long since your surgery?

My Nutritionist actually recommended the same thing. She said to use sugar free puddings or flavorings to change things up!

Back pain was the worst pain for me when I had my surgery. When I woke up in recovery, my back was killing me, and it stayed like that for 3 or 4 days. I am 15 days post op and still have some days when my back hurts.

I was sleeved on Aug. 1. I am not losing very quickly either. It seems like just about everyone on here is really dropping the weight fast.
-
Mine lasted about 4 or 5 days. I was feeling the same way you do. It does get better after about the 5th day all around. If you had asked me on day 2 or 3, I would have said I would not do again. Just hang in there!

Thanks all! So many post about losing 40 to 60 pounds in the first 2 months, and I will be no where near that! Just want it to happen!
-
Okay, I was sleeved on Aug. 1. I had lost 10 lbs. the week before doing my liquids. When I weighed in after my surgery, I had gained 4 pounds while in the hospital.
It has now been one week since surgery and I have not lost a pound, not even the ones I gained in the hospital! Getting very frustrated. It seems like the pounds are just melting off of everyone else that posts on here.
When we I start losing weight?
Thanks

Wow! You look amazing! I can't believe that you have lost so much in 2 months. I am 6 days Post Op and so hungry right now, I can't imagine even losing 10 lbs in a month. You should be so proud of yourself!

Thanks everyone. I have a handicapped son that I turn and lift. Just wanted to make sure that I did not do anything too soon!

I was sleeved on Aug. 1. sugar free popsicles have been a life saver for me. Also different flavored caffeine free tea has helped. I bought several boxes of flavored tea bags. I was never really a hot tea drinker, but I find that these have helped a lot. I sip a warm cup. I am on Clear Liquids for the first week.
Good luck!

I am 4 days Post Op. Just wondering how long it will be before I can normally lift again?

I am 4 days postop and am so hungry today. I was too nauseated before today to be hungry.

I had my surgery on Aug. 1, 1 week of clear liquids for me

Hey everyone!
I am scheduled for Aug. 1 with Dr. Barker in Dallas, TX. I am 5'5" and weigh about 274. I want to lose at least 100 lbs., hopefully 120. I just had my first consult on June 29, have my stress test and nutrition consult on July 20 and surgery scheduled for Aug 1. I am really excited, but really scared too. I am a worrier by nature! I hope we all do great, and let's try to keep each other updated! So glad I found you

I am not on estrogen, but do have hot flashes! I feel for you! They must all worry a lot about blood clots. I was told I would go home on blood thinners and because I live 5 hours away, would have to stop every hour and walk around.

Thanks, I am still trying to figure everything out on here!

I get hungry also. I take Prilosec, get my Protein in, but I still get hungry every 2 to 3 hours. I know some people say they don't ever get hungry, but I think the sleeve works differently for everyone. I definitely know when I am hungry!
