  1. I was told peanut butter would be too dry during the mushy stage but I tried it yesterday and seemed to have no problem with it. What were you told?
  2. Just be careful because I felt lousy on day 5 and then day 6 felt like my old self. So I went out and walked my dog and went to the grocery store ad then to the mall and boy did I pay for it. I was exhausted and my incisions hurt. I then had a job interview the next day and after it I came home and slept for like 3 hours. 3 weeks later I still get tired ad sore if I do too much. Hope you don't experience this, but just wanted to let you know.
  3. Yes my notes say NEVER CHEW GUM. Apparently it is really really bad if you accidentally swallow it
  4. I am only 2 weeks post op and have no problem eating meatloaf finely chopped in the food processor
  5. Before my surgery I told very few people because I didn't want to hear people trying to talk me out of it or saying anything else negative. I lost 40 pounds pre op and am still happy to have gotten the band - though I am nly 2 weeks post op. And for those who say we have taken the easy way out, they couldn't be more wrong. Tell all those people to mind their own damn business and butt out
  6. In case anyone is interested I called the doc this morning and they said I can swim in a pool after 2 weeks but to wait 4-6 weeks to swim in the lake, ocean or hot tub. Hope that helps someone!!
  7. I posted this very same thing yesterday. I lost 15 pouds after surgery and then yesterday, after 4 days on mushies, I had gained back almost 1 pound. I am disappointed as well but as I thought about it I imagined it made sense as I went from a liquid only diet to eating food again - even the little bit that it is. It still sucks though
  8. I am 2 weeks post op. Anyone know how long I have to wait to wait to go swimming? I am going to call surgeon tomorrow, but wondering what everyone knows
  9. Did anybody else gain weight when they went from liquids to pureed? I gained .9 lbs since I started pureed on wed
  10. Try the carnation instant breakfast no sugar added. I didn't think they were too bad
  11. I forgot to ask the doc today if I still had to sip slowly or if I could drink faster now. I'm about 10 days post op. Sometimes I get so thirsty and small sips just doesn't cut it
  12. I got the ok from the doc to start the pureed stage today. Any good high protein ideas?
  13. I tried to write something last night and I foud that my hand was shaky and I had a hard time holding the pen and writing the letters steadily. I have an appt with the surgeon tomorrow but was just wondering if anyone has experienced this. I am 8 days post op and still on liquids
  14. Anybody banded by Dr DiBenedetto? He banded me on June 4th. Just wondering
