  1. Today marks 365 days since I had my sleeve! I have lost 102 lbs! It has been a long bumpy happy healthy road! I would like to loose another 30-40 lbs to reach my surgeons goal! I am eating a lot more now and nervous about future weight loss. I need to up the exercise. Anyone out there cont to loose weight after the first year and if so how many lbs a month usually? I'm loosing very slowly now and kinda getting discouraged if I will ever make it to goal! Overall I am so happy and thankful for the sleeve. I would never have lost this weight without its help!
  2. I also have Lupus and June 26 is my one yr surgiversary! I have lost 101 lbs so far. However I can't say that it has helped a lot with my joint pain and fatigue. But some days I feel like I have more energy. I'm very happy I had the surgery. It saved my life. I went off two of my lupus meds and doing ok one ur out. Labs are the same for a year. Good luck with everything.

    Changed taste buds

I am 11 months post op and it amazes me how my taste buds have changed. The foods that I loved to eat taste so blah! I keep telling myself "you liked this?" It's a good thing though bc I find myself craving healthier stuff!

    Stall-please give feedback

It is very normal. At 3 wks I totally stalled for 7 days I was panicking! I called my nutritionist and she said its very common at three weeks. It should break in about 10 days. It did and I went to loose steadily until 8 months and I had another 6 wk stall an I'm loosing again now. Don't worry it will melt off. Just enjoy ur restriction!

    panni or baby?

Hi I am in the same boat as you!!!!! I am 10 months out and my surgeon suggested to see his partner too for a tummy tuck. However I have no kids and I plan on having them in the next two yrs. I feel like I want to enjoy my new body and weight loss. Then I feel guilty what if it effects my pregnancy or I ruin the tummy tuck. My surgeon said the skin bounces back don't worry. But I have read other reviews online. I'm 32 and I feel like I'm getting old to have kids. So I should put the tummy tuck aside and have kids sooner. But I'm selfish I want to enjoy my new body! I'm so lost on what direction to go... Tummy tuck or kids in the next 6 months.

I need to whine - dress sizes

I was frustrated as well. I lost 80 lbs and went from a 24-26 to a 16-18 top. It is also hard to shop now bc I'm between plus size section and normal section depending on brand. I'm totally lost at the mall.
  7. Hi Cheri, Thank you so much for your post! I am totally in your boat! I am 8 months out and loosing very slowly and was starting to feel like a failure again. I felt like I stretched my stomach and I was eating too much. But now I feel so much better bc I also want to have kids next year however my doctor wants me to loose another 45 lbs. knowing that the weight loss won't stop is reassuring. Plz post how ur pregnancy goes. How much weight u have gained! U look awesome in your pictures! Carol

    Ibuprofen Alternatives?

Honestly Ibuprofen is my BFF! I can't live without it during my period!!!! I even ended up taking 600 mg of ibuprofen 3 days post op bc no narcotic could help with the pain I was experiencing. My surgeon gave me 3 diff kinds of pain killers and it helped for 45 min only. So I told him I can't take it anymore and took ibuprofen! He said ok but be careful. I was pain free in a matter of 20 min! Saved me! And I 7 months post op and still take it 3 times a days with food for cramps and headaches.
  10. Hi I am a physical therapist and I had similar concerns. I am post op 7 months now and back to normal however initially I took 7 weeks off from work. Honesty it hurt my new stomach to lift heavy patients or use my core. Also I would get very tired very easily. This is my experience. Hope u will feel better sooner.
  11. Hi I have lupus and have a hard time working out bc of joint pain. Therefore I am unable to do strenuous exercise. I'm 7 months post op and stopped losing weight.
