My surgery was Wednesday July 18, I was very exited about the surgery but cant not lie, the first couple of days were rough. Gas pain was awful, regardless of the gasX strips, as a matter or fact I still have some have gas pain. Now that its been 5 days I am better and planning to go to work tomorrow. My only complain is that there are instances during the day where I do feel hungry. Any suggestions

I am a July 18 bandster as well. I can't wait for my surgery today I went to buy the Vitamins, gas X and Calcium. Next week I will shop for Protein shakes etc. Doctor suggested atkins shakes but I found that Premier Shakes have more protein than atkins. Does anyone knows if I can use premier instead of Atkins.

I will be banded July 18, and cant' wait. However, I am a little worried because I've been reading that most people do the Atkins diet two weeks prior surgery. However, my doctor indicated only one week prior surgery. Any thoughts???

I read in one of the forums that Premier Shakes from Cotsco are pretty good, maybe you want to give them a try.

I know is hard not being nervous but I agree the best thing is to focus on the positive. Think that the surgery day will the first day of your metamorphosis. You will start a journey that will transform your entire life. Good luck on your sugery, everything is going to be fine. Please keep us post on how you are doing. I an so happy I got my day today, July 18. I can't wait to have my surgery done and start my journey to a healthy life and better eating habits. I read a lot about the pre-op diet. Can anyone tell me a little about it? Thank you

Greetings, I am considering lap band, I already had my initial consultation a week ago with True Results in Richardson, Texas. I am scheduled for EGD this coming Monday. They said that if I have hiatal hernia the cost of the surgery will be less, around 5,688.00. Have any one heard this before? I will appreciate any input. Thank you.
